Salutations Ladies and Gentlemen! And Happy 4th of July to all my American viewers! 🇺🇲 Today, I'll be discussing a wonderful little knife from Buck Knives. The Buck 55 Folding Hunter. This knife is the perfect merge between a rugged every-day carry, (EDC) and a classy Gentleman's Knife! The Buck 55 is a slim piece, it features a satin-finished 420HC Clip-point blade. Brass bolsters, liners and rivets. Genuine Ebony wood handles. And a sturdy backlock. This knife is a miniature version of the famous Buck 110 Folding Hunter. (110 - 1/2 = 55) This knife makes for a very light and classy carry, whether in the field, or in the office! Made in Post Falls Idaho, U.S.A. 🇺🇲
Buck's Famous Forever Warranty is also included with this knife!
The piece is available at most outdoor stores and knife shops.

I love smaller traditionals and this found its way into my top slipjoint rotation. Great apple knife so it gets lots of pocket time. Thanks for showing yours and talking more about it

Always liked that style of knife and used to carry as EDC till the law changed, I liked the security of the back lock now I look for strong back springs. Not always a fan of clip blades but it suits this knife. 😁

Nice looking little utilitarian pocket knife. Thank you for the show and tell. I got in pocket my Spyderco PM 2 with Arctic Storm carbon fiber and M4 blade. This is my favorite edc. Does everything pretty well and in a pinch, could be a good get off of me and get outta dodge self defense just case

According to Buck, it’s called the 55 because it’s half the size of the 110.

New sub. Great review. I bought one of these 4 or 5 years ago from a Canadian Tire as they quit selling them, mine was a floor model, no box, $30. Best 30 I've ever spent. I've got a pile of trad pocket knives to rotate, but I almost always end up with the 55 in my watch pocket. And i have large hands. Unless you're in farming or forestry, imo this is the perfect pocket carry. While i do hunt a little, i agree not recommending this for field dressing big game. Small game, sure. Squirrels and rabbits. But who would want all the gore and bacteria in the nooks and crannies of a handsome little lockback ? That Grohmann #2 is perfect for that. My #2 has proven itself. Save the 55 for around the house and as a gentleman's knife.

Read my mind! This is still a great piece, shame mine has that irritating blade-play... Thanks for the sub and cheers!

It is a small hunting knife. It is excellent for small game and can handle larger skinning tasks if need be. All except for bigger animals with thick armor such as alligators. But if it was all I had I could “get supper” with it for sure.

Oftentimes, it's the skill of the wielder that makes the difference. Regardless, this is a great knife. Cheers!

saber is my favorite grind for a knife that just "does everything well." hollow grinds are fine too. What's pretty neat is that at 1.9 ounces this little guy fits that "ultralight" niche a lot of people are looking for. personally I like knives in the 3-4 ounce range because they can take a bit of a better beating but hey. That's a really attractive little knife, I'd probably rather carry a 112 though

I dont mind it when people kinda talk a bit before they get into the actual review of the knife but at least have the knife in view and be fidgeting with it or something as you talk. Over a minute in and just staring a blank red screen sucks and makes me want to click off.

Well, I do tend to get carried away with rambling, but I suppose bringing the piece into view would make it more bearable! I appreciate the constructive criticism and will make note of it for future videos! Cheers!
