i love you dude! recently switched to davinci resolve and your channel is a godsend for me!!! Maybe you still know how to flip all the clips in the timeline, like I already flipped one? I shoot on the dslr in vertical format, but the files are saved in landscape. Therefore, each video has to be manually flipped ... Maybe there is some way so that in the color tab you can copy the settings of the clip to the next one? love you ❤️

Always use what’s right for your particular situation. I person use both together. This is much faster to drag a clip into position but not as accurate when you need a specific location

How can I save all of those transformations and crops for VERTICAL? I understand how to for 1920x1080 but trying to do it for my shorts and Fusion always brings everything back into Full Size, as well as adding an adjustment clip on the edit panel only adjusts whats visible. Coming from Premiere and losing my mind lol

You need to set your project aspect ratio first because your keyframing won’t make sense when you completely change the project aspect ratio afterwards

Any font you have installed on your system will appear in your font list in DaVinci Resolve. Lots of great places to find free & paid fonts online to help you create your own signature look!

I'm using the radial fusion transition and its rotating counter clockwise. there doesnt seem to be an option to have it spin clockwise even in fusion I cant find a rotation prompt

hmmm... I don't think you can. What you could try is this: Hit ctrl+r with your clips selected, and change them both to reverse speed. Switch order of clips, so they're in the opposite of how you want them to play Apply the rotate transition Select the two clips with the transition and make it into a compound clip Reverse speed the compound clip

i loooove davinci. just started using it. the only thing i wonder is, how i can manually edit the audio waveform, like in Adobe Audition, where i can select a part of the waveform and change the volume for that little selection etc.

No idea. Make sure both your system & Resolve is recognizing your keyboard Try changing them in the keyboard customization feature and see if you can get the new assignments to work.

Ha! When I was first learning Da Vinci Resolve and I knew only the Inspector, I once told my wife “Some day, this will all be drag-and-drop.” Then I found the Transform tool and I realized that it already WAS drag-and-drop … it’s just hidden!

It's grreat for just grabbing and moving things. Much faster. When I really have to do a detailed motion or subtle tweak, I tend to use the Inspector. It gives me more control but... it also takes a bit more time

@@Daniel_Batal Yeah, I know, it's a small nitpick, but I am used to doing fine adjustments in other programs by using the side deforms since then only one mouse axis actually matters, so it's a bit of an adjustment to Davinci Resolve.

Making sure I understand you. You have a background track and a track above it with a green background that you're removing? It sounds like you're saying the background track is being adjusted when you resize the green screen track. Just lock the background track and you should be all set.

Not sure I'm completely following. Sounds like you're asking two different questions. I'll do my best with what you gave me here. Question 1: Depends on the 40 clips. Are they all cut from the same original file? Resize them before you cut is the easiest method. If you accidentally started cutting everything up and then realized they are all the wrong zoom, size, rotation or placement... or if you decide all of the clips on that track need the same adjustment... then just resize one, right click on it, choose "Copy", then bulk select all the rest and choose "Paste Attributes". You can paste almost any attribute(s) from the source clip to the rest. Question 2: If the decision is that everything on track 1 needs to only occupy the upper half of your preview screen, select the first asset in track one, align it in the upper half of the preview window, then do everything I showed in the answer to question one to adjust all of the rest. Hope that helped!

cool tip but the video gets stretched when rotated 90°, the video is long format, no idea why its such a tedious task to get it to wideformat, considering VLC media player does this with just 1 click without any stretches and fits the screen too. Meh, I really liked Resolve, until I found out its impossible to do the same simple task VLC does xD Cya Resolve.

Doesn’t for me. The pixel aspect ratio doesn’t change at unless unless you physically pull it out of skew. For simple rotation by degree, use the Inspector. That will stop any accidental change in skew or stretch

@@Daniel_BatalHi, thanks for your response Daniel! I figured the issue out but sadly cant use the transform. The video format is actually widescreen 1440x1080 with the black bars left and right, but the actual video is vertical. Now when I rotate, it thinks its wide and squeezes it, but for me it looks like vertical being squeezed. What I need to to figure out is how to get the video actually vertical, or just remove the black bars when rotating, basically what VLC does :) Again thanks for the help! Im at my 7th hour now trying to figure this out. Appreciate it dude!

Oh you mean centered in frame? Depends upon your workflow. X and Y axis in the Inspector control your vertical and horizontal positioning Simply setting those to zero (or resetting them using the reset icon) would recenter the footage without changing the zoom
