I’ve noticed when Eve speaks in German she looks at the camera a lot less! People always used to say when I spoke in Mandarin that I would never make eye contact cuz my eyes were always looking past them or around the room like I was looking for the right words to use next and they could see my brain working behind my eyes! 😅

I used to do this so often in my Fremch lessons that my French teacher used to call me out for it. I was just really shy in French. I learnt German in Years 8 and 9 but my school stopped offering German as a GCSE to us. It is a shame because I preferred German to French but I am now learning German during the lockdown.

I've eaten spaghetti yesterday ist grammitkalisch falsch. Und ist Deutsch immer noch eine schwere Sprache?

It’s so interesting to see how many people study german! As a native I have so much respect, the grammar is hard! I speak English, Spanish and French only my English is that fluent! Can you do a video in Spanish?? Also, your German is very good, you do have a noticeable accent but as your friends say, it’s super cute!

I’m so impressed at how seemingly easy it is for you to properly express yourself in german and your accent is quite good ! I’ve been studying german at school and uni for 10+ years and still struggle to form a proper sentence when I’m speaking but that’s definitely due to my lack of practise, I know I have a decent knowledge of the language I just need to work on it but it’s not an easy one to learn and feel confident speaking in

I think your German is very good- I am pleased to report that I could follow without the subtitles after all this time! Absolutely get out there and practice practice practice. For my time abroad I was sent to southern Austria- nobody spoke English apart from the teachers/pupils at the school I worked in. It was pretty much total immersion but did my spoken German a world of good. Have a wonderful time- viel spass !

Completely agree that it's harder to express yourself in a foreign language! When I went on exchange to Germany, I always felt like I came across a little bit cold and quiet, but it was just because I wasn't 100% sure how to express what I was feeling / thinking in German, or even to speak fast enough to keep up with the conversation. But it definitely gets better with time, be patient and kind to yourself ❤ Dein Deutsch is wirklich super, muss ich sagen 🇩🇪 Bitte gib uns mehr Updates in den nächsten Monaten! Viel Erfolg Eve xoxo

Well, nowadays it is boring. Really fascinating was the typing of ALDI's cashiers before scanners were introduced. I think they should have tried to get in Guiness World Record list. However, you get used to it and actually the paying process is only small part of supermarket vist. The advantage is that it is really fast and food is rather cheap compared to other stuff.

@@emilylaskey7862 definitely use memrise for vocab and if you're on aqa (probably the same for other exam boards) there's a course with every word you need to learn already there watch german tv shows/movies/listen to german music. if you're doing gcse, i'd say watch with english subtitles and german audio but if you want you can have both in german. i'd recommend druck (a web series) and dark (on netflix) honestly just do your gcse work that your teachers set and try and learn your speaking card general conversation answers off by heart and you'll be sorted good luck next year!

Obwohl ich nur für einen Monat in Österreich war, habe ich mich mein Deutsch so viel verbessert. Es ist unglaublich wie hilfreich es ist, Deutsch die ganze Tage in einem deutschsprachigen Land zu sprechen. I’m learning Italian and I’m exactly the same about feeling like I have no personality in Italian, and making jokes/humour is SO difficult. By the time I can think of the words I need the conversation has always moved on 10/15mins 😭😂 also it made me realise how specific British humour can be and it really doesn’t transfer into another language.

I speak German quite good but not as good to understand jokes or to tell humorous stories and similar stuff like that. But with time I am sure it will get better. I recently started studying German idioms which I think will be of an enormous help, so would highly recommend you to give them a try. Ich wünsche dir viel Erfolg.💕

@@number1number217 doesn't it say "i am impressed by how well you pronounce the CH in for example sprache" ? I don't speak German, but I am Dutch and that is what it looks like to me 😂

Love your German! I have just one suggestion, because idk if you're aware of it :) so you said 'mir geht es ganz gut' but the subtitles were 'i' m really good' soo, in German you say 'mir geht es ganz gut' if you want to express something like "i'm fine" meaning like an average mood with nothing exceptionally good or bad. If you want to say everything is going great etc. you can say "mir gehts richtig gut!" :)

Well, One can certainly still hear your Accent, Eve ...but your applied German is astoundingly FLUID... and your Wortschatz (Vocabulary) is really quite large already. ^__^ You use German with great Self-Esteem and Flexibility. =) Very inspiring ! ^__^
