An HONEST review of the Baja DB30 Doodlebug!!

Similar to what I did with MB200 Review, the video is about a no sugar coat review of the Baja Doodlebug, this is kind of the perfect minibike, Also the most popular along side the Baja Heat. These bikes have a lot of aftermarket options.

Just picked one up last night. I’ve been bugging the guy for about 2 or 3 months to sell it to me and he finally did. It has a predator 212cc swap so I’m excited to see how it performs. But first I’m taking it all apart and painting the frame and wheels, going throug, all the bearings, and just cleaning it all. Plan to go with a Matt aluminum frame, red seat, red grips, red flares, with some Matt gray aluminum wheels. Can’t forget the white wall tires too. Beyond stoked, thanks for the content dude

I have pretty well the same doodle bug but mines called a dirt bug. I even had the same engine in it. It didn’t have that much power though.. Thanks for sharing these bike vid’s :)

lol yeah every time I tell someone I have a mini bike they always ask “ain’t that too small and uncomfortable?” Since I’m 6’7 but it’s perfectly fine for me 😎

I have 2, one is running & the other is a frame plus front wheel. Swapped out engine, have the 2 old ones still.

I just got one for my daughter. I had to put a new carb and air filter on it because those were missing. I’ve ordered an new governor return spring and I have the throttle return spring. But it looks like there’s supposed to me a metal linkage bar. How long is that I’m gonna make one from a paper clip I can’t find it online.

I picked one up today, noticed the bolt that holds the handle bar to the frame is loose, like the one on yours... Is that normal?

Love the doodle bug, like and subbed. We drag race minibikes and some are db30's. We've gone deep in the 8's@78+ on a stock wheelbase dirt bug in the 1/8. Check it out if you get time

yeah you can buy cheap little curve pipes from amazon, they rust really easy though.

I got one of these new back in the early 2010s and the seat didn't come with Baja on the back :P

Mine makes a ding sound, it comes from the clutch, should I buy a new one?

It probably is starting to go bad. if where the chain connects to the clutch moves Alot I would get a new one (don't touch it after riding it 😂 ) I'm probably going to post how to tell if it's bad on my other channel

yeah, it sounds like your clutch is going bad, I would replace it they sell them on amazon for like 20$.

I honestly have no idea, it came with the bike and I was only able to find one picture on Google of the bike with this headlight on it

I got this bike for my mom it runs fine but it goes super slower it doesn’t even do 20 it goes way to slow for me and my mom any way I can make it do at least 30?

you can try taking the governor out, by doing that it will make the bike a little faster but honestly if I were you I would just put a predator 212 on there, because the little 96cc's are fun and all, but they kinda get boring fast and they have like no torque, and if you're trying to do 30mph anyway the predator 212 will top 30 without taking the governor out on it

@@JT-zn5mg ok r there things with the 96cc motor good on gas? And how often would you say the clutch and oil lasts before they get bad? And how long would u say the engine itself last before it goes out?

Swap the original motor to the 212cc much more fun 👍🤘🏽

@@troyholland3436 yo sorry this is months later but there okay on gas, and the clutch will last you a pretty long time, those engines aren’t putting a whole lotta strain on the clutch, and for the oil I would change it every couple of rides depending on how long you ride it for
