I wanna be a vet and go to vet school like you, btw I am 14 y/o, and most of my friends and family don not support me so I am really glad I have you in my life so you can support me and show me what vet school is really like. my storie is so similar, i was 5-6 years old when i decided i want to be a vet, never changed my mind and felt like that was the only way i could be happy working. but i feel just like you, vet school sucks most of the days, its too hard and my anxiety never lets me show how much i can be

Hey Amanda you might remember me, my chihuahua hurt her paw today and my nan didn't know what to do (it wasn't bad enough to see a vet). I used my knowledge and gave her 10ml of meloxicom on chicken. I'm glad your getting on well ❤

I'm taking a year off after I graduate from undergrad in the spring to work and apply to vet school, and I'm terrified! I knew that I needed a break from being a student but it's so scary not knowing what my life is going to look like which is definitely scary so I relate to how you're feeling! Congrats on passing the NAVLE and being close to done, you have been a huge inspiration to me and I will definitely be rewatching all of your vet school application videos soon enough while I'm filling out mine :)

I’m a 3rd year vet student (soon to be 4th year) and I relate to all of this!! I feel like I’m not ready for 4th year and have definitely experience imposter syndrome many times this semester. Your videos always assure me that I’m not alone, so thank you for being so open to talking about how hard it is 💕 I would love to see a video about how to impress your clinicians and tips/tricks for surviving 4th year!

Don't overthink it. Vet school is hard. All you have to do is pass! You will learn lots more in practice and it never stops. ( i explain cases that might help!) Don't compare, although it's hard not too, even when out! Take each day as it comes. Have a rough plan but be flexible to change. Be your authentic self ( as everyone says), look after #1 and stick to your beliefs. You havent come across clients yet! Thats fun. You dont have to please everyone. I don't euth healthy animals now - I just say No - unless good reason. Hang in there! Christine. Ps What editor do you use?

I’m 13 and I’ve wanted to be a vet since I was 5. I love watching your videos and they help me understand the schooling better, and figure out what I want to do when I hopefully get into your position one day. I would loveeee to see videos even after you graduate! I think it would help people like me who are still deciding if they want to keep going on this path and it would be fun to see the differences between vet school and actually being a veterinarian!

Hello! Please continue to make videos after graduation because I am a VM1 currently and I feel like if you were to make 1 year out, 2 year out, etc etc. would be very beneficial for many students as well as possibly discussing M&M rounds(not that I wish you any mal practice or medical mistakes!!) but if you witness or hear from other colleagues to be guest speakers, those are the moments we (future veterinarians) need to hear about and learn from to continue to make this profession better and better each year and to work with one another, not against one another. You are an awesome human being, going to be a great veterinarian, and I hope one day we can meet up maybe at a conference to say hi😊

Can i ask a question i work as a Kennel assistant in a ER Vet hopsital i want to be DVM. Do you feel its better to move up KA,Va1, Va2,Va 3 and CVT then DVM? Or do you suggest its best to straight to school? How long did it take you to become a vet and congratulations

Hey, I was wondering if you have any guidance for me! I have wanted to be a large animal vet since I was 9 and have been setting myself up for it. But this past year, I haven't felt motivated, even though I am exactly where I wanted to be since I am in my first year of undergrad doing animal science. I feel conflicted because I want to be a vet, but I also want to work outside and have more time to ride horses and have some free time. I know that vet school will be really challenging, and if I am having trouble motivating myself now, it probably will only get worse, so I am genuinely curious if you have a work-life balance and if you think it is worth it! Love your vids!!

I honestly feel like my work life balance has been way better since finishing school! There's no longer the pressure to spend my nights studying or doing work for school! I can actually prioritize life which is soooo nice. I will say that the large animal side of the field has some other things to consider when it comes to work life balance like on call and travel, so I can't fully speak on that!

Quick question to anyone Is it hard to go into a D1 sport and still successfully go through Vet school? Because as freshman in Highschool I've started to think of what I do and I love swimming competivly and am very good at the sport and hope to go to D1. But I've heard its very hard to do D1 and Med school.
