In this video, Abigail Johnson introduces our Classical Composition curriculum, which is based on an ancient form of writing instruction called the Progymnasmata. She explains that Classical Composition provides students with a structured path to writing excellence and gives them all the tools they need to make sound arguments.

I am 74 and this is exactly what I need. I have never felt comfortable with the thought of the various papers required for a Masters program. I want to be able to participate in Memoria College's Masters in Classics. I took two years of High School Latin from a very gifted teacher( in my opinion, but nothing at the time to compare with). I have Memoria's Latin Course and am working my way, inspired in part by R.W. Livingstone's book, Defence.

This is a great explanation! I'm sad that I didn't realize how wonderful this curriculum is before my son was in 10th grade. I'm planning to do MPOA HS Comp to give him as much of it as possible. I'm hopeful that Mrs. Johnson will still be teaching HS Comp II in 2023-2024.
