I used similar method to detect saturation DAB transformers. Never thought it is the exact principle of flux gate!

Good question. The back transfer is very small especially since the back impedance, normally an inductor, is very large In sophisticated current sensors feedback winding are used to neutralize the back ripple. Oscillation is a question of control.

In case we have localized saturation of the core, we might not be able to saturate the core [as the saturated section acts as an air gap]. Any mitigation approaches for that?

I think that this not a realistic situation because the same flux is passing throughout the core. Such a scenario will be similar to the case of a heating wire that will start building up the temperature at one point along the wire.

Hello Professor, I am currently working on a current sensor for the flux gate to detect leakage current. Can I see your complete simulation parameters?

Sir, it is a very good lecture!! I am an inverter hardware engineer for electric vehicle motor control. Could you upload a lecture video on the inverter circuit design for motor control?

I will try

Professor, I had a question: If an inductor core gets saturated then is it necessary for the inductor current to become Zero before the inductor regains its inductance?
@sambenyaakov Жыл бұрын
Not really, the current can go slowly down this will bring H to a lower value which will bring the core out of saturation.

Most accurate method is to servo an opposition current through the core on a separate winding to null the 2nd harmonic

You seem to overlook that this video discusses open loop approaches.
