The way that damage reveals the enemies/your “true form”, is really unique. When the character runs, you can see the legs hair and body. The black “demon” that sends you to god is a great example of this. It’s easy to see it when it makes an uppercut. Or the white enemy with the 6 arms.

The tutorial for blocking happens after the first fight… and the enemy that you fight for the first time doesn’t show its attacks… in either of its fights.

And yes you fight first enemy at least twice… unless you want to fight the massive green light shown at 8:13… then you get to fight it three times. Also the green light is called summun and is a optional enemy and the hardest one

Further tip for the "enemies keep dying" problem (maybe a very mild spoiler?): Certain enemies, usually elemental ones, will absorb specific types of damage and replenish some of their health. For example, if Phoenix is about to die on you, hit 'im with some fire, and you're back in business
