This is the pleasant flight experience with ANA All Nippon Airways NH8 service to San Francisco from Tokyo Narita on economy class.

FLIGHT REVIEW:
The flight with ANA was enjoyable and very comfortable. The cabin crew were very polite and accommodating to every passengers' requests.
After take off, The cabin crew served drinks and snack to passengers followed by dinner service. The food served was very tasty. The breakfast service was served 2 hours prior to arrival.
The cabin crew keeps coming back and forth from the galley to the cabin to make a drink run to keep passengers hydrated at all time. it was a nice touch from them.
The movie and music selections also covered broad range of the latest blockbuster movies and musics.

Hi Gavin! Thank you for your nice comment :) The meal was indeed spectacular for economy class catering and the portion was very generous. I was completely stuffed! Actually it was not a day flight throughout though, as soon as the plane took off the sun set and it was dark most of the flight.

+James Zurawski I just took the Chicago to Tokyo route in November 2015, ANA 777-300. Yoel is correct in stating that the attendants were always present and always smiling. I was well taken care of. Lots of turbulence though so be prepared. The flight path will take you north west to Alaska then arcing down to Tokyo. The rough patches on my flight were over Alaska and Japan. No worries though, I felt relaxed the entire trip. Good luck to you and have a safe journey. I'm sure you will love it.

Hi Yoel. gw seneng liat postingan video lo smua semenjak gw search ANA. pengalaman pribadi gw naek ANA november kmaren. dari Jakarta naek NH 836. transit di Narita dan lanjut ke SFO. same with your destination. tapi bedanya gw naek United. Star Alliance code share. UA 838, B744. aduh, 9 jam bosen ga karuan, uda ga ada ptv di tiap kursi. Beda skali dengan naek ANA. pulangnya pun begitu. 11 1/2 jam ke NRT naek UA. untung pas balek ke CGK terbayar dengan servis memuaskan dari ANA. sampe CGK jam 12 subuh lewat dikit. gw brangkat dan pulang naek 763. next time gw mau coba 788 n 773 ANA. thanks for your posting Yoel. regards.

Hi Jonah! Thank you udah nonton video gw. Glad you like it :) memang ANA truly 5 star airline sih walaupun pramugarinya ngga lancar Inggris nya tp service mereka sangat memuaskan. Wah, gw baru tau kalo UA ga ada PTV disetiap kursi, bosen banget pasti. Iya lu harus coba sih 788 (ngga harus punya ANA sih) krn memang pesawatnya nyaman banget!

I think ANA is removing the "fixed shell back seats". I had those seats shown in your video on my last ANA flight too, but in 3-3-3 configuration 787. Probably these are the new standard seats, because they use them in their new safety video too.

Ha! I think it's true. They should have removed those fixed shell seat long ago! It was very uncomfortable. You can't recline as much and basically you are trapped in that seat.

Is this flight along with all the long haul 777-300ER flights for ANA use the 10-across for Economy. Nothing wrong with that as many premium carriers go with this such as EK, AF, NZ, CI, EY, QR and starting late 2018 CX will join the club too.

Yoel Febrian Yes the B777 is comfortable, more ergonomic seats and less cramped in economy than the old B747s...but its not the same feeling..the B747 were so huge..

Ah, yes....PAL's 747s dominated trans-Pacific flights. The 3 out of their 4 747s were Pacific. I just loved them.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like ANA is the exact opposite of Air China. Bad food, bad service, the cabin crew is nowhere to be found for most of the flight.

They dont serve vegetarian meal as menu choice, you need to book for special meal beforehand.

Well, i believe that 777-300ER is way more spacious as it serves mostly long haul flights.

Hi Yoel, thanks for your video! I am planning to take the same flight in a couple of months. Your video didn't show or discuss much about the seats. I find a lot of people complain in many forums that the only problem with ANA is the economy seats are not as comfortable as other flights. Did you feel the same?

+MsVIKING2009 Hi! My pleasure :) Well, since ANA has several seat type on their boeing 777 aircraft, it is all dependable on which aircraft you are flying on. In my case, this aircraft has great reclining seat. On the other hand, if you get the fixed shell seat type, you might find that it is not so comfortable. You can also check my flight review of SFO-NRT on ANA which features the fixed shell seat. Hope you can get the idea. :)

That's not true. Japan offers many vegetarian options. And the cuisine is hugely vegetable as well as fish and meat. Larger cities will have more options.

Best part is that if I were to top up like say another 60-100 from what I'm paying for UA (Which is like SGD1.2K something, I'm from Singapore), I'm getting a nice value for money upgrade with ANA :D
