Bi Han is best as Noob Saibot. Just let him be Noob Saibot and give him something interesting to do, like in Deception when he was trying to take over the Netherealm. Kuai Liang is the iconic Sub-Zero. I'm going to be so pissed if they've actually made him Scorpion this time.

@@MBGamesHD I am being fair. Bi Han has his time to shine as Sub-Zero. Even getting his own game. He's done F-all as Noob Saibot outside of acting as Shinnok's spy. The 3D era tried to do something with him by having him kill Goro and then try to take control of the Netherealm, a void he wanted to fill after Shinnok and Quan Chi were out of the picture. But the Goro thing got retconned and the Netherrealm thing was dropped in favour of him going after Kuai Liang's Lin Kuei for no reason. Kuai Liang is iconically Sub-Zero, and done great things in that role. He made the role his own. Bi Han, despite being mostly known as Noob Saibot, has only got to shine as SZ, yet spent most of his time doing nothing as Noob Saibot. So I say, be fair and let Noob Saibot have his time to shine..... in the shadows, of course.

i would really like that, having a encounter between Liu Kang and Onaga was one thing i always wanted to see, the two dragons of mk, even more when in 11 there was some intro dialogues that hinted of a connection between the two, so i hope that is brought back rather than just forgotten like a lot of other plot points and ideas

Just hope that they don't make him evil. If they want him to take a darker path, it should still be rooted in his honorable nature and desire to protect others. It was honestly a good move to not make Scorpion a separate ninja group, they tried to separate them from eachother with the last 3 games but ultimately just brought them closer together with the fact that they're now brothers. The fact they finally made them almost palette swaps of eachother again shows this

Tbf, he had a habit of killing people that were directly needed for saving others. Killing Bi-han despite being promised by Raiden the potential revival of his clan in Mk9. Killing Quan-chi despite being told he’s needed to save the remaining revenants including mother F’ing Liu Kang in MkX. Dying to Devora. DEVORA. In Mk11. In other words, he’s kind of a dumbass. I can see why Liu would be like “Nah, srry.”

@EndoScorpion History has been altered. That's how the new continuity was created. Retcons usually have no explanation and contradict existing stuff. That's not the case here.

Feels like they're just treading the same grounds again for a 3rd time (4th if you include Shaolin Monks). Swapping character roles/personalities doesn't add anything. In fact, I'd say it's ruining a lot of characters.

Even if they change the beginnings, they are literally just going the exact same way with some of the characters, and for some of them its just dumbing down/flanderizing the characters: Mileena always had potential to be a really deep character, and we see that on her endings and interactions, how most of her problems came from being utterly rejected by Kitana for things she can't control - and Bi-han, as Sub-Zero, always treaded a gray area mostly, as we see him being heroic and villanous at the same time. Now both of them are just being evil/antagonistic just for the sake of it.

I feel like the mkx comics wrote them into a hole by killing all of the side characters originally I believe mk11 was supposed to be a revenant/nether realm vs out world vs earth realm tournament with dark raiden as the invaders and out worlders as the defenders and then eventually Onaga would show up in the middle and that would ruin everything and cause something big to happen but I feel like due to the mkx comics they used some dumb time travel plot to retcon the timeline

​@@felipecouto1102 that's what's worrying especially with the writing of Mk11. The idea that Sub l-Zero/Scorpion, Mileena/Kitana could be sibling duos working together(and NOT turning on each other in the end) offers such wonderful new story opportunities, including making new characters too.

Well, this timeline is Liu Kang's creation. I mean now Mileena is the older sister of Kitana, so anything could be possible.

Kuai Liang is confirmed as his brother but it's not confirmed if he is Scorpion, so the question is if Hanzo is now a 3rd brother or if Kuai Liang is Scorpion. If Hanzo is a 3rd Brother that could still mean Kuai Liang was born a cryomancer and still has his old title of Tundra.

That's the problem though.... the Shokans and Centaurians don't seem to be under Shao Kahn's rule. If anything he allies with one side or the other to suit his needs (a champion for MK). His main army is made up of Tarkatans, a race he bred on purpose from Outworlders and Netherrealm demons. There are plenty of rebel factions, such as the Edenian rebels, and the city of Lei Chen; led by one of Shao Kahn's old advisors. It makes sense to me that Outworld is in turmoil and constant civil war. Shao Kahn seems more interested in conquering other realms than he does keeping everyone in Outworld in line. And the more realms he merges with the more rebels he's likely to deal with. Yet he doesn't have an undefeatable army like Onaga did, because Shao Kahn isn't a necromancer like Onaga. So he might not have the army to be able to conquer the realm. I think the title of Emperor is more related to having conquered other realms. Sure, he might have the biggest empire in Outworld, but from what I can tell it's not the only nation / faction.

Ain’t no Explanation for it, Fans have been wanting to see different realms other than the Earth, Outworld, and the NeatherRealm here and there but they won’t listen. They had the opportunity to actually give us new and interesting ideas for old characters and we’re literally getting the same shii.🤦🏾‍♂️ thankfully gameplay is good but this story is shaping to be awful or at least boring. Now that Raiden is just Liu Kang in a straw hat and lightning powers.... he's way less interesting to me and, I mean, it's just not Raiden any more; it's Liu Kang in a different hat.

Also I saw recently that Sindel and Jerrod are confirmed to be Kitana and Mileena's parents when switched to German on the website of Mk 1, do that worry I had about Kahn I had is cleared. I've been looking into this a bit more, and apparently the whole tarkatan disease thing was an original idea John Tobias had for the story (along with Sub Zero and Scorpion being brothers).

Honestly I'm really wondering if Aftermath is even cannon since Shang Tsung is back despite being erased forever in Aftermath (wasn't gonna stick of course but still)and no Great Kung Lao whatsoever, not even referenced in Kung Lao 's bio about being related to him. Honestly feels like they know they walked themselves into a corner with Aftermath's weird/bad decisions like Shang 's fate and him making the crown (despite never trying to get this all the centuries he worked for Kahn), Liu sacrificing his friends, Shao Kahn's stupidity in trusting Shang Tsung ect.. (I would add Sindel's retcon too, but that problem is very easy to undo, so they need to drop Aftermath and start fresh.

Plus it would also make sense as to why Liu has to worry and can't just restart time again if the crown is destroyed (really raises the stakes more). I am really hoping John Tobias is truly back cause NRS definitely made such a mess with Mk 11 and it's filth of retcons and character/lore assassinations.

@ritaparks8213 Liu is pretty much the only thing canon but everything else is basically new; and anyone can come back because ultimately he may control time but not 100% of what happens. That's why kronika went through several timelines just to get rid of raiden but it never worked. She even died trying to change events. Or Shang is probably from another timeline existing simultaneously. The possibilities are endless.

@@ChrisYoungGunn True, but they still should show care and be consistent with the past 2 timelines as well (like they definitely need to undo stuff like Sindel's retcon completely cause of the plot holes it creates). With Kronika, I'm really hoping they try to retcon that too and say that when Raiden rewinded time in Armageddon,not created Kronika and she just thinks she's always been around (would definitely explain why she's so weak and loses easily to even people like Kano). I don't think it is considering how Ed said it's not a continuation of Mk 11's story and it seems Shang Tsung might be trying to form the Deadly Alliance with Quan Chi according to what Ed said about Shang will be trying to team up with someone and Liu will know what's going to happen from past events. Maybe that's how Onaga becomes the main villain like how it happened in the og timeline.

That plot point was dropped (havik and hotaru being main protagonist/antagonist) the moment they decided to not go for Shang’s ending and go for a reboot instead.

Having no involvement in the NRS rebooted timeline (since MK9), Havik makes sense as the enemy Liu Kang "could never have anticipated"; yet so does Onaga. Could also really just be Shang, since Liu DID vanquish him before finally claiming the hourglass and so, could never have anticipated Shang suddenly appearing.

They dropped the entire GKL era just for another tournament plot, where they are heading are going for a villain that no one knows about (which didn’t work well with kronika) and we have liu kang making decisions that are inconsistent and not only that, making him incompetent as hell in the story. For god’s sake, with so much hype for GKL era only to drop it, they could’ve made kung lao the champion but nope… to raiden despite going another route with him If anyone is acc thinking (for proper lore fans that care about decent writing) that NRS will fix its retcon, it’s not happening and it’s clearly evident

Apparently according to the guy who leaked MK 1 's title said Onaga will be the main villain (definitely fits with the dragon theme of the game and it's an opponent Liu's never met). It is likely his reasons of choices can be explained like Kitana isn't going to be queen of Outworld cause he wants her to be by his side, and I'm guessing he's trying to make the Lin Kuei stick together by making the grandmaster Bi Han and make the guy who was the leader of the rival clan his brother (still confused though on where is the younger Sub Zero). It does seem they pretty much already have undid it considering the new MK movie won't use it and will go with the real Sindel , plus how they have been walking back other mistakes like how they tried to push Kabal and Sareena being a thing, and Kahn has been back to his old self since Battle of the realms. We'll just have to wait and see if NRS will truly fix things and make things right to get the franchise back on track.

Mileena being a clone was handled better before NR. There were times where people thought she was Kitana for a while and then there was that movie where Kitana thought Mileena was her sister for real only for it to be revealed that Shao and Mileena are not actually Kitana's family. 4thsnake even said in one of his videos fixing NR's horrible game that they could make Kitana think Mileena is her sister again and have them and Jade be like a deadly trio of assassins working for Shao Khan. NR dropped the ball before with this, but it's not like it was never handled better in the past.
