I found, of all Lovecraft writing, Nyarlathotep , the short prose-poem, is the one that haunts me more each day. I cannot explain why. It's short, uneventful and blunt. Yet it's ending , imagery and overwhelming hopelessness upsets me. What do you others think? Am I being too sensitive? Feeling things that aren't there? I think Nyarlathotep is realistic. I can feel their madness at the end as they split up. All because of some couple of hundred words 100 years old written by Howard Phillips Lovecraft . Where the Hell did he get these ideas from? That's what maybe bothers me more.

I believe you wrote the answer in your question "Where the HELL did he get these ideas from?" He got them from hell. Lovecraft was visited, according to his own testimony, by demonic entities in his dreams and subconscious. This was a regular occurrence. If you're looking for freedom from fear, hopelessness, etc read 1 John where it talks about "abiding in Christ" and "being perfected in Love." It also says fear "hath torment", which is undeniably true and describes a huge percentage of the people in the world. The number of souls affected by demonic attacks and schemes is at a new high, primarily because of our easy access to the internet. If you have not already, you should pray and seek God's face. This is why I made these videos; not as a means of exalting or highlighting the "infinite power" of Lovecraft's demons (they are neither all-powerful nor are they stronger than us), but to highlight the OVERWHELMING divine power that has and will overcome the darkness.

lovecraft was a hermit and dive deep into own mind. that path is the way to discover the true! in te east monks are doing it but they are poisoned by all thos bulshit spirituality and they dive into this , not the pure knowleage and true! lovecraft did it as a pure child not poisoned by anythign. what he discoverd its jusy a some part we know by his writing.. we were lied to from beginigs about gods , nice gods and some hope after all this living.. gnosis tell us the god and this existence is just a prison.. but prison not for our sins , but to worship this god , no matter his name ,, its walsys this evil selfish god! if we look down we can see smar organisms , but why we look up we look or imagine only one creator god (good god).? lok at natur on earth do you see all this order ? where is god there? when psider eats fly.. lovecraft spoke the true almost directly from the source not converted by priest and all spiritual fairytale bulshit! that is why it works on ppl . we all can feel it as true al this living and reinkarnation is a lie ! there is not learning about anything ! true trap of this are feeling to others which we developt love compassion etc. its this which keep as in this circle.. ask yourself how higher diety which evolved freom lowed planes dont know feeling? do they not evolved ? they need to walk down to re relearn them in our bodies? this is just bulshit dude! we were lied to form begining! we are kept here by feelings .

Most people don’t understand that the Tuttle family Cult and the Secret society in Season 2 are the same, and how they’re connected to the real life Bohemian Grove, in Monte Rio, 1 Town over from Guerneville California, mentioned in Season 2 of True Detective. For me the cosmic lovecraftian horror ground work was laid out in Season 1, and cascades into seasons 2 and 3, and possibly the upcoming Season 4. I personally would love to see a video on cosmic horror connections between seasons 1 & 2, and the implication of the Tuttle/Childress family cult reaching all the way out to California...

Thank you very much, for your reply. I would love to see what you come up with. I live in Guerneville California, and The Bohemian Grove is well known in this area, so for me it was no coincidence that the town even gets mentioned in a show that circles the topics of kidnappings and child sacrifices. Especially since Bohemian Grove is known for their annual “Cremation of Care Ceremony”, where an effigy of a child is sacred in order for the members of the group to release their cares and worries for another year... Sounds similar enough to the Tuttle Childress what have you...

I really enjoyed Annilation. I for some reason associate the concept with the philosophy of empedocles. Distortion of reality through two unseen forces passing one another only hitting equilibrium at a certain point. Distilling all the chaotic possibilities into a reality that we can comprehend. Its like evolution on acid lol

Dude, thank you so much for these videos. When True Detective first aired, the Lovecraftian and satanic aspects of the show were what got me hooked. The show was very good at making us question our sanity through Cohle’s hallucinations (his daughter, the spiral of birds, what he sees in Carcosa on the wall).

5:40 Dude, that whole struggle/ conflict / war of the Elder Gods is just Derelith Drivel imo, it lessens and diminishes. A man's got to put food on the table so nothing against him for it, but it's still pandering to a desire for explicablility that should remain in reach but never in grasp, feel me?

I think a lot of the Lovecraft stuff is by virtue of Ligotti’s influence. Although, I don’t doubt Pizzolatto had read some Lovecraft before writing True Detective just by virtue of how popular Lovecraft is.
