I love the floors as means of control in the prison. It's one of the first real uses of sci fi tech in this kind of setting. Sure there are shock collars and laser grids but this is one of the first real uses of tech to do something to make a fictional prison actually harder to escape than a modern real world one instead of just making LED beeping handcuffs or fancier fences. I also love the worms are basically living sour patch worms.

Edit: Andy Serkins was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one as he’s a big fan of this franchise so SNOKE being in andor is great!

The confidence the showrunners have in what they are doing with #Andor is next level. It's not just peak Star Wars, it is peak television. The acting beats the pants off House of the Dragon, the story they are telling puts trust in the audience to decipher what is going on, and trusts them to know the story from episode one to where they are now to follow along. There are no exposition dumps, no hand-holding, and no treating us like dummies like most TV/Film does nowadays. This latest episode gave me THX vibes in the best way, while also being immersed in Star Wars lore and legends history. And damn, if Dedra Meero isn't the most terrifying Imperial then I don't know who is... Tarkin, eat your heart out.

The part where that guy committed suicide reminded me of this part in the Imperial Commando novel: 501st where a clone commando named Ennen killed himself. He lost his brother Bry to a Jedi that they were hunting down. From what I remember the commando squadron went after the Jedi believing it was him but turned out it wasn’t. They killed the wrong man and Ennen got really depressed about it and closed himself off. He found life pointless because they had won the war but life was worse. He ended up taking a blaster into the restroom and ended his life there. It was another clone commando named Darman Skirata who found Ennen. It was pretty sad. It really shook him up too because after Order 66 he was really depressed himself and wanted to do the same in the beginning.

Andor is the best Star Wars live action show because of the stunning world building and the constant raising of the stakes! I heard it's like the least watched show of the SW series and that's truly their loss. I've never truly understood what the Empire was and why it was so bad, but I do now, and that's a testament to the writing and setting all the pieces in place. It's like everyone else has been playing checkers and Gilroy is playing VR chess, and I'm here for it. I've always been just barely a casual Star Wars fan but I have never been as invested as I have been watching Andor! To me this show is firing on all cylinders. And I loved Kyle's expression when Bendu said they could swim since there was land miles away from sea prison😂😂. I'd like to see that!

They just started filming season 2. Originally they wanted to do something like 4 or 5 seasons, but both Diego Luna and Tony Gilroy said that doing S1 was so exhausting (it took like 9 month to film and more than a year of post production) they won't do more than 2 seasons. I'd love more seasons too, but if the producers think it's fine like this I trust them

Parts being made-they’re connectors at the base of tie fighter wings, where the flat wing panel joins the (?stalk?post) going to the control pod; they look like the parts that blow off the wings in REBELS episode at the tie fighter academy. Water around the prisons-those whirlpools/water intakes create a pull, so you *can’t* escape by swimming away; it’s also an uninhabited planet, with no life showing, so even if you could get off & out of the facility you’d still die of hunger. Only way off is the the ships delivering new prisoners (& I assume any other supplies) ...the dishonored investigator is going to be used by the ISB as a ‘hunting dog’ to find Andor. My guess is the investigator figures out they’ve had Andor all along just after Andor escapes with other prisoners (at least 3were in scenes of Rogue One). She’s going to keep that investigator as an ‘ace up the sleeve’ because he is so laser-focused. -“...tunnel under the hotel......” the friend of Andor lit up hearing that. He, the mother & Cinda are going to bomb the imperials in the hotel-or at the least use it to get the girl out.

I'm pretty sure Ahsoka said that "Fulcrum" was a code name they used dating back to the Clone Wars for agents and informants. I note that "Fulcrum" is a codename used by the Rebels to identify their operator, whereas "Axis" is a name assigned by the ISB for their person of interest. Remember how the JOKER ( Joaquin Phoenix ) said : " for a long time i felt like i didnt exist " i think same thing its happening to Syril , the more he tries to go up the latter the more far behind he gets pushed , and he will reach a point where he will sabotage the imperial for not taking him into account as a valuable member of the Empire . 2 - He will find ANDOR on his own , he will let him go , just like Andor led Syril live on episode 3 but Syril will not do it because he wants to help Andor , but to get back at the Empire and to show them SEE , I CAN DO THIS JOB ON MY OWN and you DISCARDED ME , so F YOU .......... This show is SOOO good. Every episode just increases my respect for the writing, acting, directing and fantastic production values (cinema level). It's a huge shame that it's not getting the viewership it deserves. Yes, it's slow paced but that is NOT the same thing as "boring". It is intricate, multi-layered, with intelligent dialog, sensible and believable motivations for all characters (including those in the Empire, making them way more three dimensional than in a lot of other Star Wars offerings). *Please please tell your friends to give this show a chance!! Heck, they don't even need to watch Rogue One first. It's THAT good!* Have them watch the first 3 or 4 episodes. If that doesn't hook them then nothing will. I put this right up there with the best of them, including the precedent setting "The Mandalorian", which showed us what a Star Wars TV show could be.

I’ve got a little bit of a theory that what they are building means nothing and are nothing. The empire probably disassembles it and gives the pieces back to them day to day and the point is as long as the other tables and other rooms are your enemies as you try to win day to day, the prisoners are too occupied to come together and fight the empire as long as they see eachother as enemies. Might be wrong but just an idea

I think Vel, her friend, Bix, and Lucien's assistant were all orphans (like Cassian) that Lucien and Marva found and raised so they could have at arms reach for their own purposes and time! Sadly after the heist happened, they are no longer protected by the safety of the web that he constructed and are turning on one another. Ultimately, upon hearing Marva is failing, Lucien will go to try to save her and he will be lost! I hope in second season to see the recruitment process, a jail break in Belsavus, Imps crack down take the life of Leah's Godmother pushing the Organa's into the fight, or the Mon Cal becoming part of the resistence (It's a trap!)
