This is European culture at its highest. An Australian woman of Dutch descent singing a Latin hymn by St. Thomas Aquinas one of the most brilliant philosophers and theologians of all time. The hymn celebrates the bread of angels, Christ the Incarnate Son of God who gave Himself on the cross and presents Himself to us in the Eucharist. Every part of this is a masterwork of love.

This is well said.--- I have enjoyed so many different types of music. From the Beatles and all the 1960's brought up to the present day. Now in my 70's I have to say the music Andre' brings to us is as good as anything I have ever listened to. The audience only adds to the resplendence.

This is my moms favorite song. Her sister was a professional singer in the late 30s & 40s . Mom tagged along. Mom is dying here I'm bedside playing this. Moms moving her lips 🙏❤️😇thank you Bread of angels. My mom will dine with ANGELS soon at The banquet

Thanks , mom passed away peacefully at home on Aug 25. I'm still numb, it hasn't sunk in yet. I had this song played during communion at her funeral mass. It was a beautiful send off. Now I'm cleaning out her home reliving my childhood, and it's sad but joyful. I was so blessed to have such a mom. Thank you God for giving me the pleasure of being her daughter. Save me a seat at the Lords banquet mom 😇🙏🦋 miss you so 😢💔

WOW! What a beautiful angelic voice. I love this song, “Bread of the Angels”, always fills me with beautiful deep emotions, you took me to heaven to my mum with the angels. Brilliant stunning performance. Stunning gown , beautiful necklace, fantastic orchestra , beautiful video. It doesn’t get any better than this performance put together with the orchestra . Excellent

During my younger years I was privileged, as were numerous others worldwide, to sing this Panis Angelicus, but with the second verse: Te Trina Deitas... sang it mostly at church weddings, also at funeral Masses; as well as Schubert’s Ave Maria and other sacred hymns. This was mostly in and around Selkirk Manitoba in the fifties and early sixties. Great lasting memories.

This was my fathers favorite song he told me how he sung it back when he was a boy in church, I never listened to it till after he passed and it brought tears to my eyes in it’s beauty , it was like my life seemed fuller and happier that I was blessed to listen to it , this world would be a better place if everyone would sit back and listen to it .

I am now soon to be 74 I learned this song in the 5th grade it has been one of my favorite songs which I know by heart have been singing most of my life in the church choir and I would like to one day sing it at church ,it's such a beautiful song

Our dear Cousin Jane sang this prayerful hymn at our wedding at Sts. Peter and Pauls Catholc Church, San Francisco, CA. It was the highlight of the Mass and we remember the moment, all these years later. Today, we dedicate it back to our dear Cousin.

Thanks for Frank, the composer of this holly music. Especially every December his music (violin sonata in A major & panis angelicus) close to me hugging and warming. And this version is always best touching. Thanks Mr. Rieu & Mirusia. God bless you.

Mirusia has such poise and demeanour which is hard to find in a artist .The courtesy Mirusia shows, Andre the musicians and the audience is impeccable. Watched her performances many times.
