I lived in Scullin for 25 years. It is one of the safest Labour seats in the country. It has always been an easy Labour win. The candidate doesn't have to work hard to obtain or retain the seat - it is an automatic win. I have had Liberal candidates come to the front door and talk and make big efforts to make a dent on the Labour stranglehold, but I had to compassionately observe their hopeless efforts. So don't hold your breath thinking that Labour will ever be voted out of Scullin.

I've heard Muslims say that Islam is a peaceful religion. This would lead to the argument that it's not right to use the term Islamic terrorism. Well, Islam may well be peaceful religion but from what we've seen. even in Australia, by some Muslim leaders in response to 7h October, I beg to argue that Islam is being taught and/or seen as a peaceful religion, instead a war on other religions/cultures. Since when does a peaceful religion use AK47s to enforce their religious views and kill women for not covering their faces or having an affair or preventing females from going to high school? And in Australia, a Christian bishop being stabbed in the name of an Islamic prophet. I don't see or having heard anywhere that a Muslim religious leader has visited the teenager who stabbed the bishop and explained that what he did was wrong, that Islam is a peaceful religion and that he should apologise to the bishop.
