Not a good look for Andy after Atalanta just destroyed Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield and West Ham lost 2-0 to Leverkusen. The reality is the Premier League is quality. But far too many people like Andy completely underestimate other leagues because they very likely don’t watch a single league match outside the Premier League. And the irony is the Premier League is now overwhelmingly made up of players from outside England. Such arrogance.

Xavi was CRITICISED for WINNING THE LEAGUE last season because Barca won a lot of games 1-0. That doesn’t happen anywhere else. Which is why Thierry was spot on when he said, when you win at Barca you have to play well. In the prem, teams like arsenal were applauded for bottling the league 😭😭

I totally agree with Thierry Henry. When you ask any ex footballer or a manager, they tell you the main difference between Spanish football and English is: Spanish focus more on tactics and flair on the other in England, you have to be physical and aggressive. And physicality and intensity destroy tactic and flair it doesn't look beautiful in the eye. Thierry was talking about the philosophy of how Spain but Barca especially develop their talent. They don’t look at physique or anything, they prioritise a footballing brain. And what he said about when Barca win, they have to play well, is a fact as well. The pressure over there is immense, if they’re not playing tiki taka and only winning games 1-0, they’ll get criticised . And i know this because I’m a Barca fan and have seen this for years. Also, Barca are in financial difficulties. They spent 3M all last summer. How can he even suggest they have an open check book. The financial restrictions in Spain are much tougher than in England, where most teams can spend with an open check book. He’s just completely mis understood Thierry. Barca is about playstyle first then win, which is why Ernesto Valverde wasn't liked cause even though he was winning, the style of play was disliked and they wanted him out and in La Masia they teach you to play like that . In Real Madrid, it's not about playstyle, it's about winning and that's it. Atleti could care less about playstyle as well, it's about winning.

It's funny. This one guy called German players overrated and overhyped compared to how the English players are not rated, saying there is a "anti English" thing. He said Musiala is yet another overhyped player and is not good enough and that Saka is way way better. Arsenal and Bayern drew and then he tells me how great Saka is because he contributed in a big game but completely ignores how their greatest striker in the world (Kane) failed to win Bayern the game since he is rated that great I expect him to win games singlehandedly and then also ignores how Gnabry scored in the same game. This talk went on and on and it led to how the English have produced the best young talent in the world and won major youth tournaments, the guy completely dismisses how Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Netherland, France, Germany and even Portugal and Belgium have been producing elite youngsters consistently for the last 30 years and won trophies too but England have to be praised and get special treatment just because Saka had great Euros.
