Wow! Is that the state we’ve got to where we now believe that’s not a lot of money!! That’s still a fortune. He was greedy at Nottingham forest. He offered himself to Saudi, they have a quota to stick to and nobody wanted to waste a position on him. That’s the most at his age he could have got anywhere. That’s why he’s gone. It’ll also be an easy ride for him. I imagine he will last a year before he gets homesick

"Wasting his talent" is the biggest cope from English media when an English player is not good enough. He failed at Nottingham or where was he last in the EPL? The more foreign players came, the cap in talent to break through rose up. Lingard chose to challenge himself in a different country instead of going to the championship or w/e. I think that's more admirable & says good things about his mentality.

Been out of the game a long time now. Didn’t do anything at forest. He’s too much of a risk for clubs in Europe to take. Can he still play? No one knows. Training is one thing, playing is another. Still holds some status to get paid well over in South Korea so good luck over in the K league. He’s looking after himself now and I respect that. You don’t have to give it all forever to a relentless league

Who says Saudi didn’t want him? Still making almost a million per year, and I could definitely see the appeal of living in Korea over Saudi Arabia. Not knocking anyone, just saying preference either way is understandable. Sounds like a nice enough career for a young lad to me. How many his age are making that kind of money at a bank job? (Far less than one percent)

Lingard played 229 games for Man U, Notts and the loans. To get it into perspective, James Milner played 230 game JUST FOR LIVERPOOL in a glittering carrerr in big clubs. My point is, he hasnt played at all really in the grand scheme of things. What a waster!

Of all the non big leagues to go to, the K league or J league have to be near the best considering how cool Korea and Japan are. He’s not getting big money but he’ll have an unreal time there and Jesse comes across as someone who’d love it there. He seems like lifestyle choice is a big thing for him so if he’s not getting offers in big clubs, he’s dead right to head to Korea!

He went to West Ham on loan and smashed it. Chose to stay at United the next season and not play for MONEY. His contract expired and West Ham came in. He went to Forest for MONEY. He now probably had Luton and other teams in for him but found FC Seoul offered the most MONEY. One thing motivates him and that is MONEY lol

4:23 FC Seoul and every other club in the K-League aren't rich. Unlike China and Saudi Arabia, South Korea can't offer footballers huge contracts. Lingard moved to South Korea for the attention and possibly as a stepping stone to move to the Saudi League.
