What is extraordinary is that an adolescent boy in some remote town in central Asia should have embraced something in himself that is feminine, and decided to unite it with his emerging masculinity. He imagined a sound and decided to commit himself to study and practice, and was willing to make mistakes, and tolerate his failures, without giving up. The thousands of hours he spent that were not spent doing other things. He had his teachers and mentors, and is always grateful to him, but no-one was saying you've gotta sing 6 octaves Dimash, or went give you a pass. He knew where he was headed before anyone else did, and he worked with single-mindedness, slowly maneuvering the pieces into place. SOS took at least 5 years, and it was only at Singer, in 2017, that everything he attempted came off cleanly. That takes such guts and courage and humility. So when people say he's an alien, they just ignore what is truly remarkable about him. He was his own creator, the apprentice to his own sorcerer, and he worked do hard. A kid in the middle of nowhere! Recognise his humanity, give him credit for being the best version of himself, and the sacrifices he made. And don't forget to say thanks to his mum and dad. I think Igor has been the best possible mentor for him. But Dimash has also inspired a blossoming of creativity in the autumn of his career, which he might not have been expecting. The love each other, like father and son. And yes, I think Igor is providing a calming influence on Dimash's sensibilities, which is good for his art, as well as his voice. I swear there is a tenderness in his piano playing as he watches his protogee. It's very touching, I think. He'll protect him too, at this critical stage in his career. One outstanding performance of his, not from Singer, is his first "Sinful Passion" performance from Sochi. When this came out in 2018, the beginning was the lowest most people had heard him sing, but he has sung lower since then. Like "SOS" it is a series of high points.

Love his hand movements at certain times, especially when singing intricate passages and or Staccato...he conducts himself...his way of visualizing his voice.

Angel, sometimes you can catch a tiny smile on Krutoy's face in various videos while Dimash sings his music. He usually keeps such a blank face so it is nice when you catch that. It is almost like a seeing a secret if you get what I mean. I heard Krutoy came out of retirement for Dimash. I am unsure if that particular rumor is true but how impressive would that be? They are incredible together. I particularly like the song "Know" when Dimash is in white and Krutoy is playing. As for Dimash, Dimash is Dimash. I love listening to him sing and often do so in the car. I listen to him everyday if I am to be honest, but I am not reacting to him , I am just enjoying him. I have commented to other reactors if you do Dimash reactions too often you will just be repeating yourself and get bored. He just sings so smart or is that smartly? Like you said he manipulates his body in various ways to allow the sound out just the way he wants. His mind is the instrument in a way because he knows what to do to make all these sounds, colors, tones, timbres, and anything else he gives out to the audience. His posture is always good. His hands are interesting to watch as well, I have been watching his hands and fingers since Singer 2017. Some say Dimash over exaggerates his expressions or mannerisms sometimes but I think in some of his music it is him becoming the music and he couldn't control what he is doing if he wants his music to come out sounding how he feels it, to his bones. Sure there are some live concert songs where he is interacting with the audience but you don't see the same expressions from him when there is playful interactions. I am not a singer or musician but from a young age I responded to some songs with tears, goosebumps or one song even instilled fear. Everytime it came on the radio I had to switch it off for whatever reason. Over the years I came to be able to listen to it and found it is a song that brings out deep emotions in me and perhaps as a kid I translated that to fear because the deep emotions were unknown to me then. Now it is a favorite song of mine, especially the haunting saxophone. But 4 decades have passed since then. I have watched literally dozens of reactors on KZfaq but you and Dr. Marc Reynolds are my favorites with you coming out a bit ahead if I am to be honest. But I like that you are a singer and yet you explain things so the listeners can understand and learn from you. Watching your reactions doesn't make me feel like I just wasted my time. Same with the Doc, he discusses why lighting was chosen or a costume. I learn from him but different things while still watching the same video. Nice having you on here. 🌻
