Idk, Hypomania is a thing and perhaps she’s talking about that, but used the misnomer like seemingly 90% of the population does… She’s been very open about her mental health and disorder eating, it’s very possible she has BP2. She went to 4 different stores… made a response she normally wouldn’t, didn’t comprehend a comment correctly… sounds like some mild hypomania I’ve had. And she has zero obligation to tell you everything about her health. There’s plenty to critique of her if you want, but I don’t think speculating on her mental health and debating if it’s valid for her to claim something makes you any better than her… And no, I’m not a fan. I nothing her. I don’t watch her content and I very much dislike that she doesn’t always carful disclose ads, but I also don’t hate her. I just have a heart and can recognize she’s a human and this video was not her pushing product. It’s kinda weird and sick how people talk about her when she’s just being vulnerable.

And you’re right she’s not obligated to share anything about her health, but as someone who has a parent with BPD I don’t like hearing words associated with it used lightly. People with mental health issues should be treating them instead of making excuses and jokes.

Hearing things like that as someone in the Psych field is strange. It’s the same thing with “I’m so ocd everything has to be clean.” I’m not sure about Mikayla’s mental health history but in that video she claims to be manic, she didn’t show symptoms you see in mania from a clinical standpoint. There could be more behind the scenes, who knows?

I'm not trying to invalidate her but her approach to the situation she's in is unhealthy. Pointing out that she's underdressed and just saying she's depressed, so she goes to target to cope instead of going to therapy (which is stereotypical). You can't just self-diagnose, and it's so common with influencers to self-diagnose that they either have anxiety and depression but they just feel sad. She's allowed to feel what she wants or needs to feel but she can't just straight up diagnose yourself with a mental illness that a lot of people are suffering from.

And because she lied a lot of times, people find it really hard to sympathize with her. How can people believe a person who is notorious in lying all the time?

@@nativegirl8186 also to add on before I forget. Half done is better than not doing it at all when it comes to hygiene. If you struggle to brush your teeth, invest in an electric toothbrush. (It was a game changer for me) If you are too exhausted to stand in a shower, sit while you wash yourself. There is no law against it. If youre struggling with laundry, underwear takes priority. You can wear the same shirt for a bit. But clean underwear is a must for health. And when you are in a place where you can function relatively well. Please please put things in place to help yourself when a depressive episode kicks in. Prep can make things so much easier and less stressful. Even if its not something you want to do, when you have thay energy, clean your room and house. Sweep, vacuum. Wash your bedsheets and pillow sheets. Be kind to yourself as well. Depression makes it easy for one to not care about yourself. To consider yourself not worthy of effort or anything good. And the depression is wrong. You guys got this okay? Even if it doesnt always feel like it. Youre not alone. Youre still here. You are worth caring for. You got this.

Sometimes dancing in your room can also help. Shake that depression out of your buns, dance like that inflatable guy outside of a used car dealership. 🤣 It’s surprisingly entertaining and can lead to laughing fits.

bought myself a $10 candle along with a few necessities and ended up letting out a huff at the self checkout realizing that buying the candle accidentally had the opposite effect and made me more stressed thinking about that $10😂

There was even a person from her community who publicly revealed that MikRib sent save the dates to acquaintances, but purposely excluded actual wedding invitations.

Taking vitamins is helpful, but they dont fix depression unless your depression stems from a lack of vitamins- which is not the majority of people who have depression. @@ilefttheband she's not showing any symptoms of mania. At best, she could be hypomanic. She also said she was depressed earlier that day, then said she was manic. Ultra-rapid cycling like that is one of the most rare forms of bipolar. So maybe she is, but its unlikely. Coming from someone who experiences this.

It's turns off and on but doesn't mean it's fake. People really enjoy so newfoundlanders play it up - just like she plays up her Boston accent. If you don't come from a place w a more social accent like that you're just not gonna get it.

While I agree with your point on commenting on people's mental health issues, I just wanted to expand upon you mentioning Bipolar Disorder, unless you were stating that you struggle with a Borderline Personality Disorder, then I apologize. The two main components of Bipolar Disorder is Depression and Mania. You can also have Anxiety, but it's not the diagnosing factor of Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar Disorder is having extreme "high's and low's" which is the Depression and the Mania. I just wanted to mention this because alot of people who have Bipolar Disorder understand the depression part of it, but not the mania, which can be equally devastating for them in other areas of their lives. ❤ Thank you for speaking out and sharing your experiences, as well as advocating for treating people with MH issues as real people ❤ I don't want that to get lost because I pointed out what being Bipolar was. I just didn't want someone who just struggles with depression and anxiety to think that they are Bipolar, when they may not be.
