It's a work in progress for both and some of that progress for me was leaving and realizing I shouldn't be treated that way. Since many of them have mental illness and alcoholism/addiction I felt guilty for leaving, like they needed me and I loved them too and wanted to make sure they were going to be ok but not taking care of my needs and self in the process.
