yay! I have been waiting for the Ceci Dover reaction to this song! I knew you were going to love it as much as the rest of us fans. This song is so "Angelina"! It's a jazzy vibe, with a positive message. Angelina said that this is a song about believing in yourself. Every time I listen to it, I come out feeling a little happier. What more could anyone want from a song? I just love this song! She keeps getting better and better with every single thing she does. I have also heard a little snip of another song that is likely to be on the album, and I can say for sure, this album is going to be Incredible!!! Hi Rusty! I'm a recent AJ fan since mid-January. I appreciate all you've done to promote her for, apparently, only the love of the music she creates. I've watch all of the 134 songs on your playlist, multiple reaction videos and more. I cannot fathom why she isn't even more popular in spite of her family's entirely appropriate desire to have her live a normal life. It now seems to me, in perspective, that all of the raw one-take covers, rehearsals, concerts, etc. were AJ's intentional development to expand her vocal ability and musical technique toward this jazzy, blues, pop, R&B unique sound. I'm just happy that there was a Rusty Shackleford there to support the dream. I have to believe that her family is highly appreciative!

@@foghorn90leghorn73 Thanks for the kind words :) You are correct that the only reason I do what I do is for the love of her music. My channel is not monetized, and I have no desire to ever make anything from it. I only want to spread her name and introduce her music to as many people as I can. I used to spend many hours recommending her to every reaction channel I could find. I have a private playlist of every video I made a request on to keep track of where I had been, and it has hundreds on it. But after her appearance on AGT last year, there wasn't much need for that anymore. So many channels started doing reactions after AGT that I couldn't even keep up. I really didn't need to recommend her to new channels anymore (and many other had started doing that anyway), but I still try to hit all the new ones with her bio and more info on her whenever they do their first reaction. I'm always happy to see new people like yourself discovering her! If you are only in since mid-January, you probably don't even realize yet just how addictive her voice is. I can tell you from personal experience.... It doesn't wear off. You can hear her stuff a thousand times, and it just gets better with each listen. ...add to that the absolutely massive collection of work she has done...and ...well... you're in for a long ride my friend ;) Happy to have you as part of her fan community. It is the nicest bunch of people you will find on the internet. If you are on facebook, be sure to come join in her fan group... "Angelina Jordan Fans - The Shield" is the very best one right now, and we are always looking for new people to join the fun. There is also the private group "Angelina Jordan "Feeling Good" Which is growing fast. As a new fan, I'm sure we will be seeing each other a lot :)

I've listened to 7th heaven about 100 times, and there is always something new to discover each time. And I'm already in both of those fan groups under my real name. Just curious why one is private and the other public.

@@foghorn90leghorn73 Some people prefer to be in the private group because other people (outside the group) can't see their activity there. Not that there's anything to hide in there, but just imagine how many tattooed metalheads in leather vests there are out there that prefer their friends not know their guilty pleasure is the smooth and soothing voice of a little girl from Norway :P ...that's where the private group comes in ;) But there is lots of other advantages of the public group... hence both :)

There's one thing I've noticed with Angelina's songs. Despite the variety of styles she presents in her compositions, _"What Is Life", "Oslo", "Shield", "Million Miles"_ and now with _"7th Heaven"_ They are all very different, but there is one thing that they have in common: *_When she's done singing, the song ends._* There's not a lot of fuzz and big outros, her songs just ends ... and we all dive at the *replay* button.

"and we all dive at the replay button"... Exactly! Angelina has a lot of "obvious" genius that she shows in her work, but there are so many of these less obvious examples of her genius. The 2.46 length of this song with the hard cutoff is one of those examples of her genius IMO. It's impossible to not play it twice! (or 10 times in my case)

I’ve listened to this five or six times, and I like it better with each repeat. I understand all the lyrics now, and it’s the positive message coming from Angelina that is refreshing and welcome. Of course, the vocals are what we’ve come to expect-and that means we never know what to expect from Angelina. She is so comfortable with trying new things when other singers are happy to rely on what was successful for them in the past. Yes, the beginning starts like Peggy Lee’s “Fever”, and we know that Angelina is completely familiar with that classic. But she takes this in a different direction, showing us her multi-dimensional vocal abilities and locking up the title of Queen of Jazz. With all the crap going on in the world, how wonderful it is to just be transported back to real music and a positive message. I’m so happy that her association with her new record producers hasn’t changed the beautiful ways Angelina improves our day.

CICI, when l saw you had reacted this new song l couldn't jam my earbuds in fast enough. I had already listen to it two dozen times but l wanted to hear your response to it. Your expertise is very much respected and your organic in the moment reaction to Angelina reminds her fans that watch you, that we are not imagining the greatness that we are hearing. You have said this before and l agree, that it's easy to imagine a smoke filled club from long ago when you listen to Angelina.

Ceci, of course I love your reaction! You are the best, my dear. The melody of the song (the tempo, as you say) is catchy and jazzy and so easy to like. Angelina's vocals are crazy good and what did we expect, anything less? I'm so glad you point out all the intricacies in her voice because I understand more and more what she appears to do so easily is actually very difficult. The message of the song is very personal and Angelina (at 15 years old) is looking ahead and is preparing herself for maybe a sometimes bumpy road in her career. I say, Angelina, be true to yourself and understand who you are right now and continue on your journey to spread the love in your heart to people around the world through song. With the support of her family and close friends, and, let us not forget the millions of "Angels" she has all over the world, she can fulfill her desire to sing and write beautiful music. And, Ceci, I am confident Republic Records will fulfill their commitment to not turn Angelina into a money machine and rather give her the space she needs to yes, sing for people in every corner of the globe but also to give her breathing room so she can produce music for us. Love your "glee" when reacting to Angelina. And your careful timing with the interruptions. (very important), I do like hearing the technical side of the vocal chords and how her style does very little to damage hers. I cannot wait to see her cast in a classic movie as lead actress and singer (of course).. Her songs inspire me. And I'm sure they inspire many others as well. Although it at first seemed too short, she got her message across and showed the progress she's made since "Million Miles" and the sadness that went along with the loss of her grandfather. I have a feeling that her songs will be added chapters in her life's journey. We are the lucky ones, to witness this unfolding story.

IMO, Angelina incorporated the jazz, R&B and pop genres into this amazing song. She is single handedly reintroducing jazz to the masses and making it cool again. Angelina is reinventing jazz by giving it her 2021 interpretation of it. Several reactors have said they greatly enjoy hearing Angelina bring jazz back into vogue. She is the only young artist with the self confidence, ability and talent to take this avenue. Her vocal talent is perfectly suited to sing in this new jazz, R&B and pop genre she created. I still have to keep reminding myself how young she is. The cover photo is breath taking. It reveals a stunningly beautiful, statuesque and regal young lady whom exudes class and dignity. There is no other like her. Angel is in her own lane. We have been blessed to have her.

I've listened to this track on loop almost all day. I am just floored by what she is doing to bring out the old school jazz/beatnik vibe yet make it completely contemporary and real. I've also watched your reaction at least 5 times since you posted it. I have been watching Angelina since NGT and I have seen hundreds of her videos, reactions and reviews on KZfaq - she is my rabbit hole. No performer in the past 40 years has absorbed my attention as AJ has. And no reviewer of AJ has impressed me as much as Ceci - no close 2nd place. You are in a class by yourself Ceci. It’s crazy that Angelina makes me cry so often , I think their must be something in her voice what touches something in me . By the way it’s very interesting how you dissect her singing in all the details what a regular person would never know , I am a singer myself but in an independent Rockband , but , to be honest I have no idea what I was doing , listening to a professional vocal coach I just realized . Anyway I love Angelina Jordan since day one of her appearance in Norway got talent .

Another excellent reaction with just enough technical comments to explain what this prodigy is doing. The words are deep for a 15 year old girl, but we all know she has lived before. Even though her tours were canceled and records delayed by the pandemic, she gives us a positive jazzy performance to make us feel good.
