When you get to 12 years old you have to listen to her sing this song for Quincy Jones at his 85th birthday at the O2 Arena in London, actually she opened the show.

Even at this young age, Angelina Jordan is already quite proficient at playing with the timing of the song, using her own personal cadence when she feels it to make the songs uniquely hers, and just like the jazz and blues greats before her, using tempo as a tool to create emotional arcs for us to share the musical and emotional trajectories with her. Alex, "Fly Me To The Moon" has become Angelina's signature song requested at every concert. Quincy Jones asked Angelina to sing "Fly Me to the Moon," to open his 85th birthday concert. Went Angelina was at the first rehearsal with Quincy Orchestra it was magical, as though they play together before.

Her tones in that song brings tears to my eyes.

She would have appreciated some sound recording equipment more than stuffed animals. At that point she's at pro level for a couple of years and has her sight set for Superstar.

Blowing you away is pretty standard with our Barefoot Princess!. Blast proof socks, a box of tissues and a cushion to catch your chin when you're jaw drops to the floor are pretty much recommend equipment when watching Angelina. Great reaction sir.

This is very typical of Angelina at any age-a simple, but classy, musical accompaniment with her voice front and center. She never hides behind the music. Angelina has, I think, the amazing talent of deciding on the arrangement in her head, and then walking out to the stage and delivering it. It seems like there’s no worry whatsoever about singing it the way she imagines it. Even at this age, she knows her voice and what she can do. And despite those incredible vocal tools, she never over-sings or shows off her voice. Her respect for the song and the music has always been part of her.

This is a true musical Prodigy, true musical Genius. We are blessed to be able to see her on her journey, thanks for your wonderful reactions to the once in 2 lifetime's musical genius of Angelina!

Alex, don't ever expect anything to change. What she will sing and how she will sing it and when will she sing it for you will remain an ongoing mystery and it actually makes it more fun that way. What's so incredible is her poise and confidence is so positive she becomes the song and her emotional delivery floors us every time. And one thing that needs to be addressed is her voice. Emotion aside (if you can do that!) she is one of the finest singers I have ever heard in my life. Artistically, her tone, her range, her interpretation of a song, the tempo she chooses, rank her well above 99.9% of the singers in the world today. (Let's not consider opera singers before someone goes nuts on me.) Another great reaction. Words are never necessary but when you are able to speak (it's not easy during or just after she performs) you usually have some very nice things to say.

Great reaction, and fully understand your excitement to listen to the next Angelina performance! I only found her in February, but agree with others who have been fans much longer, that it just never gets old, it's super exciting to hear something she's done you hadn't heard before, but still exciting to see one that you've already seen 10 or 30 or 50 times before. I also think she went through a little Sammy Davis Jr phase here - What a Difference a Day Makes, and this performance of Fly Me to the Moon. The phrasing/sound when she slides her lower jaw down and to the right sounds and looks so much the way he sang, and is so affecting.

You can tell: Angelina's heart is 'filled with song'. And it is no joke from her saying that she started at the age of 1.5 and that Jazz was her genre. It is even recorded and can be found on KZfaq: she was a little baby trying to sing a Whitney Houston song and doing it in a way that you can recognize the song without even have to think about what she was trying to do... This girl was singing before she could talk. True fact, no fantasy. Since the age of 7(!) Angelina is usually actively involved in the arrangement of the songs she is singing. And she has already written and composed absolutely stunning songs for herself. So, she sings the songs (including the covers) in a way she feels is the best for the song and for her.
