When she is being interviewed she sounds like any 9 year old sort of cute shy girl. When she starts to sing, she transforms in to this astonishing amazing singer, regardless of any age. I would never have listened to this song if it were not for Angelinas brilliant and touching performance. I have never before heard a kid sing like this before, and I mean never.

I am always completely surprised. Not only because Angelina is so gifted that she, at only 8 years of age here, can sing so well and with so much emotion. But also because of her calm appearence on stage. Usually children at the age 8-10 are running, jumping all over the place and in a hurry all the time. Singing in this slow pace is almost impossible for them. They really have to learn how to slow down a bit. And here we have an 8 year old Norwegian girl, singing in a very comfy pace for the listeners and completely 'in the zone'. So much so, that she probably wouldn't have noticed if a million people had been there to watch her. And listen to her pronounciation: her first language is Norwegian..... Again: she is only 8 here (now in 2023 Angelina is 17).

If not for the steady hand Angelina received from her loving family and friends the world could have been deprived of the miracle of the 10 best years in music history provided by Angelina and her wonderful impact that will last forever. Withstanding the test of time space and gravity. Angelina seems to me the personification of love in its purest form.

If you remember Angelina's mom off-stage during her first appearance on NGT singing 'Gloomy Sunday', her Mom was wiping tears away. She has been quoted as saying the tears were because she realized she would now have to share Angelina with the World.

I’m old enough to know the hit 1959 version by Dinah Washington very well. Angelina’s take on this follows Dinah’s version, but I’m familiar enough with that 1959 song to see where Angelina takes it in a different direction. She’s 8, she’s killing it, and she’s giving us a little of her own style. And you mentioned how she must understand the lyrics to sing this way. Yes, she definitely does-and she delivers it with perfect phrasing even though English is not her first or even second language. Absolutely the best singer I’ve ever heard.

I too knew Dinah's version and listening to it again, I think how RESTRICTED Dinah because of her years of experience. She is singing INTO boxes of style, with limits and walls and ceilings. She creates that memorable version but AJ doesn't seem to limit herself. It's like "I didn't know I had to curtail my vocal tools - I thought I could use anything I have."

One of the most amazing interpretations of this angelic creature. No one, in the entire history of music, neither past nor future, can sing like that at 8 years old, in theory it is physically and technically impossible.

I thought about what you said, "the music was made for her," and in the first reaction you said also "she was made for the music," and I thought about these two sides of the relationship between Angelina and what she is singing, and I think you put your finger on precisely what I have felt when I have listened to these jazz and blues kinds of performances. I know these songs well from years of hearing them, and I believe you are correct - I think we have all, the original writers, performers and us, the fans of those tunes, have been waiting for Angelina Jordan to arrive to introduce us, and millions of people new to these kinds of songs, to genres that only Angelina can bring back to us in that unique melodious and hypnotic way. She is simply mesmerizing.

Angelina continues to touch our hearts repeatedly. Great reaction! I just love watching this to see the shy little girl being interviewed transform into a superstar when she sings then revert to the little girl the moment the last note is ended. Always makes me smile!

Here she goes, doing that 'vocal chameleon' thing she's mastered. Similar to where her rendition of Gloomy Sunday at 7 sounded like a reincarnation of Billie Holiday's original, this one emulates the vocals of Dinah Washington's original. This girl never ceases to amaze me !

Norwegian's view the flower crown as a symbol of eternal love. Angelina closes her eyes and goes to her special world when she sings. She describes that world as endless and filled with love. This was the first video by Angelina that I watched so it has a special place in my heart.

She does have such a strong and beautiful voice. It was a pleasure watching you react to it. Her grandmother was a prodigy and I think it made it easier for her parents to recognize her amazing talent early.

Stephanie- as I understand it, her grandmother is a prodigy, but not in music! It was in art and writing, I think. But she WAS a jazz enthusiast, and exposed Angelina to it. I believe Angelina is the only singer in the family!!

I wonder if there's a Parents of Prodigies club. What's it like when one of your children is lauded by countless throngs on the internet and real life. She has been recognized by titans in the business as well as royalty. I wonder what kind of counseling she gets to help her live this fantastical life as well as understand her affect on everyone.

One month after winning NGT, she was introduced nationwide by national TV 2, and since then she is adored, admired and loved, by young and old. After that, some called her a national treasure, I do not know if this is a nickname, but I know that every Scandinavian musician felt it a honor to work with or for her. Be safe, man, be healthy. This is the song that got me hooked. I had never heard of her. This one randomly came up on KZfaq. It is one of my favorite songs from the 50s. Mostly I listened to Rock, Metal and Blues. She somehow changed that. Mostly I listen to AJ now.

Wonderful reaaction Alex. This was a hit for the great Dinah Washington; many of the legends have covered it, but, no disrespect to any of them, this was head and shoulders the most beautiful rendition of the song I have ever heard, sung by an eight year old child from Norway! Alex, she performed the song on stage again at age nine and then at ten, each time with that same magic but showing the further refinement of her craft. I highly recommend searching those ones out, if not reacting to them.

I have watched this performance hundreds of times and the tears come every time. It doesn’t happen at other times when she sings this song, just this one when she is alone on that island, in her own little world, surrounded by thousands of people. She truly is a Cosmic Avatar.

All of us have our own personal feelings about her but there is also one thing we have in common and that is we are so thrilled when we find someone like you whose heart has been touched by her. We want everyone in the world to hear her sing so the love in her voice can touch them in such a way she will make them a kinder, more caring and loving human being than ever before in their lives. Yes, it's remarkable and ask any 'angel' if they believe that statement to be true. Angelina is here to sing for all the people in the world and to spread her love, though song, to everyone. With her love in our hearts she is inspiring us to follow suit and do what we can to make life better for those around us who are in need. She understands for the world to become a better place to live for everyone we must begin to love one another. We can't wait to hear your next video. Most of us have heard the video's you are about to present to us hundreds of times but when we listen to her sing it will be like it's the first time we are listening to her. Believe me, if you start tearing up all of us will start to tear up, as well. That's what she does. Lastly, you wanted to give credit to her mom and her family in general to recognize Angelina's incredible talent and ability to affect people in the way she does. They have supported her and encouraged her to live her dream of singing for everyone in the world. My wife and I flew from USA Midwest to hear her sang this song we’re in the autumn wearing on the left side of her you have to pay to get in you get a ticket they want to go to the treasure in the treasure pays Angelina abandon the caretakers that Patricia in the car but airbag is paid for about 10,000 people there

Her family is her rock. They love her and she loves them. They are together on this journey that Angelina wants to take to superstardom. Its amazing how we forget she's 8 years old here. No really. Thats like Fkn third grade ! My friend Tommy ate crayons in 3rd grade. The big crayolas. Not the little appetizer size. I got a LEGO stuck in my ear in 4th grade. She NEVER forgets the words. She's NEVER apparently nervous in front of hundreds of people AND being filmed. She never breaks a sweat. I mean.... what's the average attention span of an 8 year old ?? She's a miracle and I love her. 👍👍😇

Just a note that many comments mention 150 to 200 videos in Angelina’s catalog. It’s important to let reactors know where they can actually find more Angelina content. Her two KZfaq channels only contain about 60 or so videos total and several and just different versions of the same songs. There are some videos on her grandmother’s channel and quite a few fan made videos.
