For me L&D is another great pop rock ballad with beautiful SuMetal vocals piercing into our hearts. Love the J-pop sound from 2000 and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound. You know what's crazy? This is just using studio audio, although they've improved their studio records quality, Babymetal still out done it with their real Live sound, mixing, vocal, instrumental.... Can't wait to hear Su kill these choruses in their pro-shots.

Nice reaction. This song some have said is too light for them. I think of it as a throwback to when they first started. One of the things they wanted was to have a starting point for folks who never have listen to metal. Especially young ladies like themselves when they started. I think this song fits that idea nicely. It will bring in new fans. And we know what happens next. They fall down the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music to live happily ever after.

Especially coming new "concept album" must have an underlying story to be told whether explicitly or implicitly and 10 songs therein must tell us 10 different chapters in the story. As an eyewitness at the venue, I guarantee that the real live audio with Kami Band has more power and heaviness to stir your feelings. I assume Amuse is currently releasing MVs with live footage + studio sound, in other words "imperfect live video", on purpose, because they have to block their "real live videos" by copyright strike in order to sell them in a form of Blu-ray/DVD. After some two-year long hiatus, this is a good tool to remind people of the attractiveness of BABYMETAL and gain new fans, I believe. High and low undulation of Su's voice with maturity and sharp moves by Moa and Momoko disordered my emotions 😱. Although I was too mesmerized to digest everything at the live debut, I finally grasped its artistry as a whole by this MV. I am looking forward to seeing the live performance of this song again in two-day shows on April 1/2, yes I have the tickets ヽ(^o^)丿

They are just amazing. Their stage presence is second to none. No other band can command an audience like them. Their dancing , vocals , music, visuals … all great. Queen Su somehow leveled up with her vocals. Moa just continues to slay me…she just keeps serving lethal looks.

Welcome back and great reaction. This is definitely a song that leans a long way towards the pop end of the BABYMETAL sliding scale, further than most I'd say (so it has taken a while to grow on me). However, this was the studio audio and I have read the live version is ... different (the Kami Band's instrumentals are more prominent than those of the studio recording). We can only wait for the DVD to hear the live audio and see how much it differs of course. I feel this album, concept aside, is highlighting Su-metal's vocals more than anything and possibly more than has been the case in the previous albums - they each had maybe three or four songs that really did that, this one so far every song has done it.

„It feels like they have made this album for me“ is a nice compliment, I like that. BTW, this is the first time I see someone who doesn‘t loathe Vanilla Coke. :-)

'Gothic fairytale' is an apt description of the atmosphere of these new songs.

Well, I consider BM to be at the opposite end of the spectrum from so-called K-pop music and I don't see / listen to any of them. But you are free to like BM and I don't see the need to change the decorations behind you out of consideration for BM's fanbase, haha. In the live MV, the Avenger is Momoko, and written in Japanese Hiragana, 'ももこ'. So check its pronunciation with some voice function. I bought the latest issue of 'Nikkei Entertainment' and read the interview with BM. It was only 2 pages long article, but it was quite rich in content. Thanks to the information provided by Takano Seminar YT channel. I read that this concept album, 'The Other One' is not counted as BM's fourth original albums. BM has stated that they did something different from their previous albums as metal. When I first read the article on the BM website introducing this work, 'Parallel Worlds' something, I could not understand the meaning well honestly, but now I did a little more about its purpose. In other words, at least I can now obviously be prepared for the fact that the songs to be released in the future will be distinct from metal music, ha. Perhaps it should be listened to as some kind of pop songs, or pieces to enjoy Su-'s vocals. That is enjoyable enough for me. However, Moa has also said that she had quite a bit of hard with the chorus and live choreography. So I would like to see it live shows again. The way your eyes lit up when the first chorus hit... 😆 As with you, I have always been a push-over for a really good pop song with a great arrangement and an outstanding vocal lead performance. It doesn't matter to me whether you say group or band. You didn't go back too far. That was the right spot to catch the softer verse. But I think the first half of the song had you too wrecked (😂) to really appreciate Su-'s voice. When she hit the last note of that verse's first line her vibrato had me nearly in tears. I am sure you will pick it up when you go back to listen off-camera. And Moa has been giving us her serious face for this song and Metal Kingdom. But here she did have that twinkle in her eye toward the end. The choreography in this one seems a bit different than usual. Very Perfume-esque especially in the part where Moa is singing. And that section sounds a bit like Perfume's take on City Pop to me. Well, both groups do have the same choreographer. And Momoko seems very in sync with Moa on the dancing. I think I saw her singing (sans microphone) along with Moa, so I wonder if she has been rehearsing the vocals for if/when she is named the new 3rd member. And it goes so fast at the very end but all three seemed perfectly in sync with that dramatic motion up move. Still one more song before the album release on the 24th.

Yes, it‘s indeed Momoko. She has been the only one of the three Avengers performing for some time now (even before the „seal“). It looks like a permanent third member will be announced at their two shows in April. I‘d be really surprised if it weren‘t Momoko, but Only The Fox God Knows.

There is a live version of Divine Attack on YT currently and yes it might even be better than studio.

Sugu tobira wo hirake! Saa, ahh, ahhhhh! Let me start by saying...Yay! I love this song. All the doubts and wariness I had from before have been laid to rest. This was just what I needed to see that let me know that BABYMETAL still has that element of diversity that they've always had! Not only was the structure of the song a change, but they brought back that extreme mixing of genres and I'm here for it! The only nitpicking complaint I have for this song is that I wish the guitars weren't so far back in the mix (although I'm sure they balance well in the live). But, again, that's a nitpick and I'm loving hearing Su's absolutely stunning vocals sooooo well! I really like the Heavy edm usage in this one, and those build ups before the chorus are excellent! And, as you said, Su is just killing (Slaying!) with those vocals. Not only the soaring and sustained high notes, but those soft and emotional notes and even those lows. Just the inflection and dynamics that Su has in this song, all of it is almost overwhelmingly beautiful! And Moa and Momoko are just such a force in this! The choreo is just perfect! Not only in the movements and how in sync they were, but also in the facial expression, how they were so stoic and almost robotic, but also soft and almost (not quite, just barely) playfull at exactly the right times it was appropriate to what was happening in the song. They've really grasped the feeling of each song more and more as they've matured! And while I love seeing them all smlie and have a good time (because they all have beautiful and contagious smiles), that performance maturity is also great to see! And, once again, a great reaction from you! I really love how you express yourself! And I completely agree that every song off TOO so far has had that feel of grand-ness and epicness. I think that with the overall theme and feel of this concept album, I would love to see some sort of Interstella 5555 take on this! Like Apocrypha or something but dealing with the concept here! So this album is THE OTER ONE BABYMETAL that has lived in a different world than the BABYMETAL we know. Is it somewhat like Iine in the way it mixes genres? I can't wait to see which BABYMETAL we will see in April! Then we may also see the announcement of the fourth album of the original BABYMETAL in the near future.

⚪ 🌑 That's Momoko Okazaki as the supporting dancer. Momoko has been the avenger for the last 28 BABYMETAL appearances, including the two latest shows in late January 2023 that this footage is from. It looks like a third member, or "new metal" will be officially announced during the next two concerts in early April. Momoko is definitely the frontrunner for the position. Kano's last BABYMETAL shows were January 25th and 26th at the LEGEND - METAL GALAXY concerts. All three of the "avengers" participated in those two shows. Surprisingly, Kano only performed with BABYMETAL five times, and never outside of Japan. She did manage to appear in three official music videos, and on several DVD/blu-ray concerts. Kano has been busy in her JPop group @onefive, and on Japanese variety TV shows. Riho's last BABYMETAL show was February 13th, 2020 in Cologne, Germany as part of the METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR. She's been active as a solo artist since leaving BABYMETAL.

How many people were holding their breath, as Su's note went higher and higher, and waiting for the beat to drop?... I didn't start breathing again until the instruments kicked back in. Seriously, i think Babymetal has been taking lessons from edm tracks on when to drop the beat.... not that many bands, especially metal, is so good at building up that anticipation before dropping the beat, no one does it as well as Babymetal. Wished Moa's vocal bit was a bit more though, it sound so good. Love how these new songs all are giving Su a lot opportunity to flex her vocal skills..So, are the girls pictures back on the wall?.😄😄😄🤘🦊🤘

I want to suggest DESURABBITS (2013-2021), they had a similar concept to BABYMETAL but leaned more towards pop than metal. Their genre is described as "Death Pop" and the group consisted of Emi, Karin, Yuzu and Bucho. They started young, 11, 12 and 13 respectively, just like BABYMETAL. Emi, their main singer, has a truly wonderful voice! Their channel has a playlist of all their music videos. I recommend starting with any from the last album like Magic of Butterfly ‐seicho‐, でも、逃げんな (Demo, Nigenna) or アイコトバ (Aikotoba). Of their older music I recommend なんで？(Nande?), うさぎストリーム２ (Usagi sutorīmu 2) or デスラビッツ軍の七ケ条 (Desurabittsu-gun no nana-kajō). They also did a beautiful song with only Emi which showcases her voice " 東京の隙間〜DESURABBITS from EMI feat.X〜 ". They deserve way more recognition! Barely anyone outside Japan knows about them.
