i was thinking the exact same thing ! you have here, 2 people that are the size of adults, but both have the verbal speech skills of maybe a 4 to 5 year old, the problem solving skills of 3 year old, the impulsiveness plus temperament of said 3 year old that is hungry and missed his nap. and yet, they have drivers licenses. smdh

I have a direct neighbor like this. Fortunately there are several acres between us and fence but the cops here know his address by heart and have been given permission to not answer the phone if they notice him calling on the non-emergency line. He calls the police for EVERYTHING and will just make shit up if he hasn't called them in a little while. He called the fire marshall on me and told them I was having a huge bonfire when I was burning a trash bag sized pile of leaves in my driveway on a calm day after it rained. He cut my fence so my dogs would run on his property so he could get them taken away. He called CPS on another neighbor because a child was crying in the yard one time. I have been told by every level of the department that "there is no law against being a bad neighbor"

Despite all the top comments of "insane asylums" and whatnot, I personally think this is an incredible video to illustrate the range of skills a police officer has to utilize daily, empathy chief among them. Huge kudos to the officers involved in navigating a tough situation with agitated individuals.

This officer is AMAZING!! He is empathetic to individuals' mental health struggles, & he didn't judge or legally make it more difficult for them. He stayed calm & resolved the issue best as could be on both sides based on each of their individual needs, but w/out showing bias. A+++
