It's a video game logic. Realistically it would have been game over for MJ the moment she got spotted like in the first game. Like she would have gotten swarmed by numbers. They forcefully inserted more MJ and for her to be OP because they wanted.

In the first game, he got taken down by the sinister six when they first formed and he got beaten down by Ock after he defeated Mister Negative, and struggles against Hammerhead in the DLC. In the second game, he beats the Lizard on his own, he easily holds his own against Wraith, and he defeats Kraven and almost killed him despite him using the symbiote’s kryptonite. Kraven is also clearly more than a match for Spider-Man and one of the greatest threats he’s faced up to that point, as he successful hunted down and killed many of the supervillains Spider-Man has faced several times by that point and could still stand up to Venom despite having gotten beaten down by Spider-Man and taking a blast from Miles’ bioelectricity. It’s not hard to believe that Kraven could land some good blows to him. As for Venom, he’s always been known to be one of the most high tier threats Spider-Man faces. There is no problem in that he gets easily yeeted aside by him especially since this is their first encounter in this canon. Also, later on, Peter still fares better than Miles against Venom and it takes the combined strength of both of them to defeat him.

If companies don't make stealth laughably easy for impatient people then companies get endless complaints and they wind up dumbing it down. Happens for almost every game. As someone who primarily plays stealth, its generally ridiculously OP. Was quite refreshing in Starfield for it to be slightly harsh, at least initially (though to be fair some of that is just them messing up how sound detection works).

Agreed, the story was very safe, soft and "modern". Cut out the Osborns and I argue it Would've been more interesting to have Kraven gameplay stalking and ending all the animal villains previously defeated. And if we're not going to have co-op ('be greater together'.... Just to end up having with just one spider at the end lol ok), let's have Venom sections in place of the filler (Wraith, MJ, Black Cat) and have that rampage moment and just to confront and run off the Spiders. Then switch back to how the Spiders need to work actually together in a swappable mode to take down Venom through all the offspring. Take down the symbiotes and get more points for combined takedowns like Batman/Robin, take out Harry unknowingly, Peter gets infected and Miles has to stop him but Pete gets injured and retires for Miles to protect the city. This can be tweaked but overall I think could've been more compelling than what was released as is.

Miles Morales had a shit story too, the only good story was the first game excluding the dlc.

Story wasnt even that good imo, trying to do too much in too little time, character arcs dont go anywhere or come up from nowhere mostly , like MJ "fixing the bugle from the inside" but then is "forced into a job she despises to carry peter's finances". Miles seems to have a deep rooted hate for Li (understandable, but...) that wasnt even mentioned earlier in the franchise but now is the main drive for the character. And Peter's arc is just getting shit on over and over, no recovery character wise: Gets fired Constantly carried by Miles Harry who was in a coma for years figured out life for him Gets possessed Cant even realize he's being possesed by himself (important part on every symbiote arc) Is apparently too depressed by tragedy to be spiderman anymore (wasnt a very tragic event the very reason to become spiderman)? MJ relationship is weird at best Doesnt learn or overcome anything in the story, at all. And the ending basically undoes this game with no consequence, minus venom, we get the same tease for a sequel we got at the end of the first game (green goblin was hella teased that game too, alongside otto returning). I loved the game, but replaying it after the hype died out (had to start NG since there is not anything to do once you get platinum, which i guess is fine) was not a very nice experience when you really pay attention to the story. Really got me thinking if the 5 years were worth the wait, consirering development for the first part was just a little longer and core mechanics are basically reused.

You could argue that by that point, Peter is focusing on the raw strength of the symbiote, and doesn’t even bother paying attention to his spider senses

It would be like you trying to not smell something really awful without covering your nose. He is literally banned from playing cards when other heroes do get-togethers because it even effects losing a hand at cards. It's an extremely OP ability. It's also active while he sleeps. Also he didn't have the symbiote on when he got stabbed, which just wouldn't happen. If it can help him dodge bullets, lightning and lasers then the most obvious knife stab in existence should be nothing.

I feel like it would work if they found a way in the story to make him vulnerable, and slowly gain his powers back over time. Maybe use Kryptonite in some way? I'm not a huge Superman guy, so I'm not too sure how they would make that work. But I am all for an open world Superman game. Technically 1 does exist, but it's shit HAHAHA.
