One thing I will say is that this version of Harley is pretty much one of the most evil incarnations of the character. I kind of like that they write them as being absolutely awful people, who can still twistedly think of themselves as the heroes of their own story (Harley giving a lecture to Batman on sucking as a person is meant to be heavily hypocritical, but it is what an awful person would probably do in reality). Waller was more than OK with sacrificing them for a reason.

I absolutely hate this game, but Harley was like this in the original Arkham trilogy.

They also in-canon sewed the bodies together so the kids parents would further be hurt..so yea..

Tbh she did something similar before. She died then came back since she is a plant lady. This game took the groot approach so instead of coming back as fully grown adult, she's back growing from plant to adult with her currently being a child. Also Poison Ivy doesn't just seduce men to their doom but women too, she's bi and been bi for awhile.

With Marvel's Avengers, I was waiting for it to be available on PS Plus so I can play the campaign "for free", just to experience playing the different characters and watching the story. With this, I can't even be bothered to wait for it to go free because the gameplay looks boring as fuk, and the story looks like it will just piss me off.

I don't think they'll last "a few months", game is already dead and practically no one is interested in coming back to it to do the same chores they already went through once just in a different season; It'd be a waste of money.

I would like to consider myself a Lantern lore buff. I'm not even sure where to start on how they handled the power ring. People like to say "oh it was corrupted." But the Guardians are one of the oldest living beings in the universe. It's safe to say they're also one of the smartest. They have contingency plans in case something like that happens to a ring or ring bearer. A Lantern wouldn't be able to run amok for long without some kind of intervention from Oa. But all that aside, even if he were somehow able to use the ring, I highly doubt King Shark has the will power to create such a large construct in the first place.

It would have made sense if there are glimpses of control by the original heroes, fighting to take control of their bodies, their love ones, like let's say Iris, attached a wristband that slows the flash. Knowing what Suicide squad needs to do, the Flash stops for a moment to get shot intentionally. At the end of the fight, they give a speech, a hint, on how to defeat them, apologizes for what they've done and need to stop the rest of heroes. Instead of pissing on him.

Here's the thing. Games can change direction, design, and even entire development teams multiple times over the course of that much time. Especially under bad management. When even former diehards are siding with angry joe, you know their game done fucked up. Difference being is that they're directed that way in Arkham to show you how warped their point of view is doing such cruel and inhuman things, the goal is to get the player to think on the kernel of truth that Batman IS crazy like them, but works with (relatively) stellar morals in comparison. But you're playing the vigilante hero-- they're *supposed* to be the opposite in Arkham. But the complaint from people is the writers (and directors) *should* know what works and doesn't playing as a villain or anti-hero, but this direction they've took falls FLAT on it's face by *propping itself up* as if it's doing the opposite in the narrative itself. It isn't immersive, it's *very* clashing and offputting-- but not because they're evil like you argue. That's a default and an expectation, we're playing villains (and Harley is particularly messed up in Arkham). People just don't see the logic of this translating to IRL motivation to make it the way it is, but they're fully aware this was made this way on purpose. And no one can understand *why* all of this was finalized other than the lack of veteran insight who's job it was to tie things together in a flow that makes sense, even with nonsensical characters and narrative since they borrowed from the Arkham-verse (because all the top developers for Rocksteady left over a year ago). Best people can figure is things were changed very early, or half way, because not many believe the game has been in development for 7 years. Producers (from the beginning) wanted something for profit, the game was made with the floaty objective-based model with tacked on skins, but they-then still lacked insight to interpret from that made it inherently fun or at all compelling beyond a mindless shlooter arcade game. There's no Arkham background for any of these characters except Harley and Batman, but loads in comics, and they *still* chose to make their interpretations in this way; which clearly didn't meld with the already established Arkham player-base lol I don't know what world they live in where they thought they'd like it; so it's just a baseless hook to garner attention for a game they (hopefully) knew the majority of people didn't want or ask for.

Corporations will try to put a positive spin on this no matter what. The fact that even WB admitted it was a complete flop this soon after launch really says something. This is almost but not quite a Day Before style flop.
