The first video you watched is basically the planned outline of the story. Each act has the name of the country/area where that story occurs. It was released at the start of the game and now we are enroute to natlan (act v). It's long basically and still evolving.

The game is divided into chapters, one chapter for each of the 7 nations. Each year a new nation releases, so 2.0 was Inazuma, 3.0 was Sumeru, 4.0 is Fontaine, where we currently are. Each nation has its own contained story, but there's an overarching story being told at the same time, and part of that is finding your sibling. It's a really long story full of lots of lore to discover.

You are an anime watcher, so surely you must be familiar with the concept of dubbing? Yes, Genshin is a Chinese game. But it has an English dub. Not sure why you confidently said that Genshin's story was definitely over, because it's not. And it won't be for at least another three years. The main story is usually updated in patches X.0-X.2, then either patch X.4 or X.5, and then potentially in X.7, though that has only happened once, as far as I remember. Every X.0 patch adds another nation to the game. We're currently on version 4, which gave us the fifth nation, Fontaine. We still have at least three more nations to go. Natlan, Snezhnaya, and Khaenri'ah. But there might be more stuff between Snezhnaya and Khaenri'ah than we're currently assuming, as we have no confirmation that Khaenri'ah will be chapter 7 of the story.

The festivals they have are important because its chinese new year, The year of the dragon. The first video you watched is just a very elaborate road map of the game. They released the video just before the game released and said "here's what's coming in the next 6-7 years". Genshin's world, Teyvat, is split into different regions, each ruled by an Archon (god) with mastery over one of 7 elements (Anemo - Wind, Geo - Earth, Electro - Electricity, Dendro - Plants, Hydro - Water, Pyro - Fire, Cryo - Ice). Those Archons (gods) are gods of something and something, for example the Anemo Archon is a god of Freedom, the Geo Archon is a god of Contracts, Electro Archon is a god of Eternity, Dendro Archon is a god of Wisdom, Hydro Archon is a god of Justice, Pyro Archon is a god of War, Cryo Archon is a god of Love. Genshin's story is split into chapters, so Mondstadt (the land of Anemo Archon) is Prologue, Liyue is act 1, etc. This roadmap is basically showing you all the different regions, giving you an idea what their story is gonna be about, and the characters they showed in that video are key characters of that specific region, they're not the gods of those regions. You haven't seen the girl from Natlan because as of version 4.4, we're still in Fontaine. Natlan is coming in 5.0, around september this year.

In that first trailer, you do see the main chars. In the game you have a choice of either picking the male traveler (Aether) or the female traveler (Lumine). Your sibling is still a part of the game. Also you can customize your char's name. I just mentioned the canon names of the siblings (yes they are twins). Oh btw, Genshin has loads of well known VAs. The voice you heard in the first trailer is legendary VA Yuri Lowenthal lol. And yes he does voice that char in black in the end of the trailer. His name is Dainsleff. Won't tell you who he is, that be spoiling lol. One thing to keep in mind for all of these trailers, a lot of them are for limited time events. In other words, they are for events that are over. Some events are recurring but the story is always different. Like that last one is for Lantern Rite, that's a recurring event, it's based on the Chinese New Year. But the story is always different. Besides limited time events, you also have different types of quests. Archon quests are main story quests, World Quests are quests that built upon the lore of the world, and Story quests revolve around a char in the game. You also have minor and daily quests (which are pretty short).

trailers are not animes after all, they are not made for people to get the whole idea of the story, they were made to lure you into their game lol. Basically there are 7 nations or regions in the game, each of them has its own crisis to confront and hence there were 7 chapters to describe their stories and relevant characters from the regions, but all those crisis are connected to some extends, they are either related to the sibling the Traveller is looking for, or reveal a part of the truth about the world, that's how the game deals with the main storyline to proceed the game to further stage.

Honkai impact, Genshin impact and Honkai Star rail are made by the same company, Mihoyo and these 3 games are connected, not directly in most cases but they take place in the same multiverse

okay so the first video you watched was a small introduction to each nation we will visit in the game! each nation is ruled by a god (which is what the narrator was explaining during each section) and the characters you saw are just a random character from each nation that we will meet, so the character you saw that you didn't know is a character from natlan, the nation that hasn't been released yet. that video was intended to show players at the beginning of the game what's to come later, and how long the game will span out for.

Ah, Aether's sister? Well, we did see her. But she had decided to join an antagonistic faction and seemingly turned evil. So, Aether's purpose at the current moment is to regain his powers, find out his sister's actual base of operation, and then knock some senses out of her. But, as he journeys onwards, the plot thickens... And yes, the game is still updating. So, no, the story isn't over yet. Just think of this as an ongoing anime, much like One Piece.
