Fate/Extra Last Encore Opening - "Bright Burning Shout" 60fps FI [Creditless & Remastered]

Really cute opening from Fate/Extra Last Encore, animated by Shaft.
In this case I've used a 720p creditless source and upscale every frame on it manually with Waifu2x, then recreated the video and applied a customized frame interpolation script.
Please note this is not true 4k, and it was intended to be viewed at most on 1440p devices. Even though, if you can, crank that up to 4k to improve general quality.
If you want to appreciate the increased detail even more, play it a 0.75 speed: the result is interesting.
At first I started hating the concept of Saber clones, but in the end I can say that Nero really has winned me over with the years. It's in fact one of my favourite Nasuverse personalities as of now.

Make sure to watch it at least on 720p quality, as it is rendered with a tweaked SVP frame interpolation algorithm to achieve 60fps. Due to this, there could be some minor graphical glitches.
This is my educational attempt in order to make the format more popular, which in my opinion works great in a lot of media, being one of the main ones anime.
I subtitled it in rioplatense Spanish, English and Romaji. I hope you like it.

Taropafadzwa Masiyiwa Yeah, I always found this opening to be rather beautiful due to its bright colors and Nero’s long flowing hair, but also because Nero in direct contrast to the vibrant color scheme has a completely cold and almost melancholic expression aura about her, which is something we rather jarring since she almost never drops her Genkai Girl attitude and is almost always seen smiling, whether she’s genuinely happy or actually really down inside and just putting up a front.

Last Encore sucks compared to Apocrypha. Let me explain. First, LE is not understanding ( Beginning, and all isn't explained and detailed like the places they go), there are cities and places without any names, the script/backstory of everything isn't that funny and creative, 60% of those who watched are boring/hating the personnality without respect and emotions of the main caracter, the world/music/scenes are very lacky in details, colors, it's ugly. And don't forget the OP, more epic, more beautiful and better fights. In Netflix, Apocrypha is recommended 97% and Last Encore is 74% but it's more shorter, 13 parts for Last Encore against 24 for Apocrypha. It's just my, my cousins, my friends, my teachers and parents' opinion.

I love how the song is talking about Nero's emptiness because of her power (reminder: she can get any knowledge when she want, where she want. If she want to pilot an airplane, she just need to think about it and that's it, she know how to pilot. That's why she knows how to counter every servant and master.) and her admiration for Hakuno which is filling this emptiness

Fate Extra Last Encore excelled at art and visual presentation (Thank you SHAFT), its soundtrack was phenomenal, and FE's Saber is arguably the most lovable and respectable of all the Sabers in the Fate franchise thus far. Unfortunately the rest of the characters were bland and underdeveloped, the story was disjointed, rushed, as well as confusing, not to mention it did not provide adequate backstory for the Moon Cell and the VR world the cast was exploring. By series end I was just glad I could check it off my watch list. In conclusion, Fate Extra Last Encore is a series that has great style but little substance.

May be late, but the story and characters aren't a problem if you played the game or at least read the manga. The thing about the Moon Cell is explained as well in the game. Now, even if you play the game, you are right about the anime was rushed. It seems Nasu had a big thing prepared for the story that they didn't know how to adapt it completely. In my opinion it wasn't a bad anime, but it isn't good for the people who is the barely starting with fate.

I really like when an anime opening doesn't spoil anything and is just it's own little short, I would've liked if the shadows where the silhouette of the other servants though so if you know 'em it's a little satisfying detail to notice

I really liked Nero after playing Extra, and seeing Fate Stay, she was just so different and charming even her ego was loveable about her. She maybe not the strongest saber ever, but she stands out and truly isn't, "just a saber clone".😄

You underestimate Nero's powers. She has a skill that allows her to obtain any other existing skill (even if temporarily), a skill that allows her to revive three times, her Noble Phantasm allows her to ignore the enemies defenses & weakens them and extra techniques for her to use. Through that very first skill she also became a very skilled swordswoman, even though she wasn't a combatant at all when alive. It's basically plot armor as a skill.

@@ravaniphoenix5431 I know about imperial privilege, and yes, it IS like plot armor in the form of a skill, but still there are other sabers that are stronger than her, even after using imperial privilege at EX rank, there are few of them though, what I would consider is not Nero in base form, but saber venus, that I would consider, obviouosly removing stupidly strong servants from grand order like void shiki

A lot of people are saying that the show is disappointing compared to the opening. I'd say that : Yes I didn't feel really involved into all the characters except Nero Claudius and the main protagonist. It's totally different from the dark (zero/stay night) line that has an awesome background and from grand order. But as a huge Monogatari and Madoka Magica fan too... I really enjoyed and got excited by this show all along. If Fate / Zero is a Masterpiece, this is some Pure Art that made me enjoyed even more the whole Fate Series.

I love this opening! I definitely feel the SHAFT/Madoka aesthetic, but also the Utena movie seems to be an influence. That platform of roses spilling down from the ceiling at 1:03 looks almost entirely lifted from the mesmerizing rose garden dance scene in the film. The look of the virtual academy in episode 1 reminded me of the illusory academy in the Utena movie too. Love seeing these homages here because that was truly a spectacular, mind-bending film more people should see~

I love this OP to death, everything about it is so good! The animation is crisp and flowing, without character designs ever being off-model like fluidity in animation can sometimes make them end up. And the fight choreography is spot-on and amazing! Not to mention this absolute banger of a track by Takanori Nishikawa, aka the legendary T.M. Revolution! My favorite part is the rose imagery! They’re part of Nero’s very being as a Servant in canon, of course. But I love how they experiment with them visually in other ways here, like having it replace blood during the battles, or being part of the very environments themselves. It reminds me of Utena a lot, which I love so much too! 1:04 straight up looks like a homage to the famous dance scene from Adolescence of Utena! The roses also reminds me of Ruby Rose from RWBY, but that part is definitely a coincidence, and not an intentional reference. I enjoyed Fate/Last Encore itself as well, and I think it has a lot of merit, as well as some cool and inventive scenes and episodes. But unfortunately, it doesn’t live up to it’s opening at all. Especially in terms of overall quality.

Last Encore is pretty much UNWATCHABLE if you haven't played the PSP game, which I'm glad I did, because this anime won't explain anything and fully expects you to already know the terms being used. Also spoilers for anyone that hasn't watched it: It's a sequel to the bad ending of the game.

Old comment but: This is not an adaptation of the game itself... It's a continuation for a scenario that the game ended badly. I did play the game before watching this just to understand anything about this convoluted spinoff (because that's what the internet told me to do, I don't regret a thing though).

@yujukiyuuki7203 Yeah, the series pretty much starts where the game ends, except in failure. The whole Fate/Extra plotline is really difficult to get a grasp of anyway, the best way to go about it is to do what Gigguk said in his video about Fate: "Don't worry about it".

正直、シリーズの中では全体として微妙だったと思うしかし丹下桜さん演じるネロのキャラクターとしての魅力がただただ素晴らしかったので見れてしまった。その魅力はこのOP映像にも凝縮されている。美しい・・・

It's not cute. It rocks! This song rocks! It's awsome! When I first listened to this, Oh my god! It was an epic opening. The best opening by far. this rocks! Awsome! This should be a thing when someone fights a strong opponent!
