You guys, the moment we all have been waiting for is finally here. Lifetime finally aired the Dance Moms Reunion and LET ME TELL YOU…it’s a total mess!
As y’all already know, this reunion happened sometime last year and people have been eagerly waiting for the whole thing because even with the snippets we were served last year, it was obvious that trouble was brewing, and the main topic was about the OG girls never attended the reunion. We’ll get to that a bit further down luvs.
For now, we get front-row seats to what these girls think about the whole thing, specially now that they’re older and can put into words things they were not able to address back then…and so, without any further ado, let’s get right into it.

Jojo's mother is 100% responsible for how she has turned out. She put her on this show knowing exactly how Abby was to kids, allowed her to be around predators, abusers, groomers at a super young age and was just generally such a stage mom in general. I can't stand her

The producer made most of the drama and Abby isnt as mean as they presented her but the girls still had trauma because of how real everything felt, its mostly the producers And Abby’s fault because if Abby knew that what she was doing then she most likely wanted money and didnt care about the abusive act she had to pull and how it would affect children.

It’s too bad that JoJo and Kendall didn’t have the tact and/or diplomacy to just say, “yeah, it’s unfortunate that they’re not attending and they will be missed. We all would have liked to have seen them,” or something to that effect. I was rather disappointed with the reunion. The girls still had to go along with the producers and lifetime storylines. JoJo drove me absolutely nuts I don't understand why she was even invited. There was some girls on the show that were on more seasons then JoJo was. I get the producers thought JoJo is one of the most famous ones to be on the show. How Jojo is constantly getting involved with people like for example the whole Brooke and Christi situation it's like you may have had on experience but they had another no need to make a video commenting because she's always seeking attention.

My take was that JoJo was invited because she would stand up for Abby and defend that point of view. I didn't expect Kendall to say what she did about Maddie & Kenzie (everyone just seemed to ignore that Nia wasn't there) especially seeing as she was at Paige's party.

Ngl I think at this point I don't even think that Jojo is more successful and popular than Maddie. And even if she is, that doesn't automatically make her more talented. Maddie actually has talents. She's obviously an incredible dancer, and now even an amazing actor! She's been in nickelodeon shows, SIA's video clips and many movies. Meanwhile, Jojo is literally popular because of her loud personality, the bow and the ponytail, starting drama, and always defending problematic people that are getting cancelled. I won't disagree that Jojo is insanely popular and all, but she certainly doesn't deserve all that fame. But Maddie does. And Maddie deserves even more.

Good point ~ Jojo knew what she was getting into - the other girls didn't. Some mothers DID explore getting out of the contracts but the Producers threatened them and they had to stay. Remember: there is no such thing as reality television. Tv just doesn't work that way (I've been in the industry for 30 years) and could clearly see how producers manipulated everyone involved.

Not trying to stick up for Kendall but just playing devils advocate - I have to wonder if on some level Kendall feels hurt by Maddie. They were best friends on the show and her duet partner. I wonder if Maddie went off and lived a whole life without Kendall - never called her, etc. Of course I'm just speculating, but we've all been there with friendships

Wouldn't be surprised if that was part of it. Kendall for want of a better term went back to living a 'normal' life post show in Pittsburgh of going back to being in a traditional school (instead of home schooling) and is now in college. Maddie and Kenzie stayed with home schooling and kept living in LA. They are living very different lives and would only be able to catch up if they were in the same city. The others have all talked about how they were able to meet up more often because both Chloe and Nia chose to go to college in California and for a while Brooke was living there. Kendall doesn't seem to have the emotional maturity to understand how that changes things even with how her relationships with the girls would have changed during filming when different girls left and that that would continue post filming.

I was watching this and listening with my AirPod pros then at 5:07 is started making these weird gunshot noises and it sounded so real it was scary. But when I paused the video it stopped and only happened in the video music
