What an amazing woman, I forgot how good she is. Mel Brooks knew what a lucky man he was, and she claimed she was the lucky one - they were so happy together. I'm grateful they found each other. Thank you for posting. I haven't seen it since it came out - I'm for sure going to watch it again.

I'm a huge fan of Anne Bancroft. My favorite of hers was the Miracle Worker and the Turning Point. She was great with her husband in To Be or Not to Be.

Bancroft's perceptions of Mrs. R. are bang on - and that's what grants Bancroft - and American Italian from New York such singular authorship of what is meant to be a somewhat comic, even pathetic Anglo-Saxon California housewife: she imbues Mrs. R. with a Grecian danger and a tragic power.

i wish charlie rose would just shut up and let people talk. a good interviewer waits till after the answer, allowing the interviewee to reflect for a moment. that's when some even more interesting things are revealed.
