Anne I think you'd really enjoy Heroes, a tv show on NBC at 9pm. Its about normal people that have developed extraordinary abilities and it centers on the choices they have made. You have characters that choose to be selfish with their abilities and others that want to live a normal life as best they can. This video just reminded me of this show and I think the writers do a lovely job digging under the surface of villains persona and what it truly takes to be a hero.

I personally don't think it has to be about humans. You just anthropomorphize something. Like rabbits in Watership Down.
