Don’t forget that a huge part of “legal gambling” includes being handed a 1099 so Uncle Sam gets his cut. Now, go to the Bellagio in Vegas and play Left, Center, Right in the lobby…Guarantee it will get shut down and you will likely be shown the door.

Meta is cracking down on anyone using a brand's name, logos, etc in their content or username. They are no longer allowing anyone to keep posting on a page that in any way appears affiliated with any major brand (it is not industry-specific.) Many instagrammers that I had been following with massive massive followings have recently had their accounts suspended, because they were fan pages, or had their name along with brand names in their handle, or had posted logos belonging to companies.

@@xxdeviousv2 I don't know about any requests businesses have made to Meta, or if Meta is just doing it on their own for some reason. However, companies are required to show that they regularly take action to defend and protect their trademarks as part of ongoing business practices. If they don't do this, they can actually lose their legal trademark registrations.

Is there really anyone surprised that a cruise line would say no "outside" gambling on the cruise ship? If so, please also be aware you can't sell excursions, empanadas, or water bottles, either.

Happy Anniversary!!! 👏👏 When I was in kindergarten we were in a line going back to class and a kid in front of me stopped and separated us from the line then he ran and caught up. The teacher thought it was me and I got a paddling!! I still haven’t gotten over that. Crazy times back then.

I found out on my Virgin Voyages TA on scarlet lady that the cruise line could loose their gaming license if they turn a blind eye to non-sanctioned gambling. Apparently on VV a few years ago people were making side bets on the sea horse races. It makes sense for a cruise line is trying to protect their license.

Their first mistake was having the cash out in the open. We weren't allowed to gamble in the Navy, but we would just use chips and were playing for "fun" to anyone that asked. Cash exchange would only take place afterward and not out in the open.

This happened on the inaugural sailing of the Firenze. I walked by and saw them rolling dice and money on the table. I didn’t know what game they were playing but it was obvious they were gambling. I heard later that they were shut down and told no illegal gambling. How true them being shut down is I’m not sure that’s just what I heard, but I’ve seen it on several Carnival cruises and it’s crazy that some will just do it out in the open.
