Monday morning, April 11, 2022. A lovely morning here in Noosa with blue skies over low scattered cloud. A 6 to 8 knot variable southerly breeze blowing at the river mouth. Still a gnarly, dumping swell on the bar but no real problems for those who picked the right time and place. Mal Hunt and Nat Turner both got a bit of air on the way out though. A small tinny made two attempts at crossing but wisely didn't try a third time. BOM forecast is for south to south easterly winds 15 to 20 knots, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots during the late afternoon. Inshore winds south to south westerly about 10 knots in the early morning. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, decreasing to 1 metre during the afternoon. Swell: Easterly 2 to 2.5 metres. Caution: Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
