Another series of Mercedes-Benz sedans (and a wagon!) of various years and series found in the junkyard, we do a full walkaround with peeks inside and under the hoods of all of them. A great slice of semi-modern Mercedes-Benz sedan history from the later 1970s to the early 1990s, including examples of the W123, W116, W124/S124 and even a W126. I can't get over how low the mileage was on those cars. We had a 280SEL W126 which covered 700,000 kms,A W124 300E with 760 kms ,and my W201 190D 2.5 which has 540,000 . Last week I was looking in the local car wreckers for W126 parts and found a W201 with 890,000 kms. All of these cars still looked OK. my 190D still has a perfect interior etc. The push button air con is a cursed design which even Mercedes didn't like. 😁.I bought a 280E W123 from another car wrecker to get the power train for another project , but I have turned the remaining car into a 300D turbo ,manual trans because it has only done 280,000 kms and has a perfect interior and zero rust, unlike my old 300D with 138,000 miles (not K's) which was getting really rusty. I am desperately searching for a tandem powersteer SLS pump for one of those 300TE/TD's too.

the filter in the trunk is actually a fuel filter (diesel) the oil filters always are inserted cartouche filters

10:00 Looks like a handsfree cellphone option on the ceiling. Never seen that. Looks factory or dealer option, or maybe nicely done aftermarket.

Do they not want to sell the fuel tanks? Seems stupid to cut a hole in back of tank when they could just cut hose coming out of strainer on bottom of tank.

I need rotors and caliber for my 1983 240d w123 my pop's had a 1988 260 e with biege leather interior and actually it was 1985-93 style...

Both of these Mercedes-apalooza episodes were in Northern Colorado (Andersen's Salvage in Greeley, CO) but unfortunately these particular cars are not there anymore...Thanks for watching!
