i would honestly love a video where you tell your ocs story, it doesnt need to be as much of a commitment as a comic, maybe a couple animatics or a speed paint where you go all out and try to explain their story in a dramatic way, there was another youtuber i knew who did videos like that and i was so invested in their ocs

The way you fill out, your sketchbook is always such a huge inspiration, and BTW, if you’re looking for good erasable, pens, look for frixion erasable pens they come in a ton of colors, and although the most common type have a thicker line, I do think they make finer sized pens. I love sketching with them, they erase super easy and they don’t even smudge with alcohol markers

do NOT use erasable pens in your sketchbook!!! they are erasable by friction which means that eventually the ink will rub off... so your drawings will be gone in a year. i used to take notes for my job with those and when i went back to reference something from a few months ago, everything that i wrote with them was gone.

Your nose is stunning. Weird comment, but I was just watching a video on botched nose jobs and how every influencer who gets a nose job all ends up looking the same as each other so I'm focused on noses now and how beautifully unique everyone is.

As someone who uses Crayola super tips as my main art supply, I was super surprised to see them get a mention! In terms of skin tones Crayola has a branch called colors of the world I believe which works well for different skin tones

If you're looking for merch ideas, one cool idea might be to sell patches / prints that people could sew or iron onto their own shirts, totes, etc., which is also a great way to upcycle and reuse clothing instead of making more!! I think Rachel Maksy mentioned something like this a few years ago, but it seems like a really great way for people to support your art without creating excess waste or buying into the fast fashion industry ❤❤

To be fair about Spike, Joss Whedon put "THAT" scene into the show, and . . . so many people hate it, and feel like it doesn't make much sense. So . . . while it's important to acknowledge it, I also have no issue with retconning in my brain. My cat's are named Spike and Drusilal, by the way, haha! Amazing sketchbook! Your sketchbooks are always loads of fun. And you have very excellent taste in STUFF.

That's exactly how I feel about it. The entire reason Whedon put that scene in the show was because he was pissy that people LIKED Spike, when he felt they shouldn't have- so he wanted to ruin his character and turn him back into a villain, despite all the character building and growth he'd undergone, and would go through, after that point. It's also kind of relevant to remember that, in the grand scheme of things, that probably shouldn't be considered the worst thing he- or Angel, or any other vampire in the entire series- has done. And yes, I include Angel there instead of Angelus, because if Spike is being held accountable for what he did without a soul, then we sort of need to hold Angel accountable for what Angelus did, because as much as we- the fandom, and both shows- tend to treat them as separate individuals, they are the same person just with and without a soul... which is what Spike technically is, to William. (Sorry for the rant. My mother has a cousin whose kid's names are Sarah and Jamie, after Sarah Michelle Gellar and James Marsters. My sister got to meet James Marsters at Supanova, and he is indeed a sweetheart)

I think capturing light and atmosphere with traditional mediums is so so hard and challenging, why I look up to anybody who succeeds with it, and I am in love how you executed your paintings and just always manage to capture the vibe and make it look coherent. The Vi paintings are wonderful~ and it is not always about detail, you delivered so well! And I am in awe with the sketchbook cover ///< You and your style always inspire me :3

Erasable pens: I haven't used them for drawing, but I really like the Pilot Frixion pens! Though I admit, that's partially because they come in purple. 😊 I'm glad you leave in some stuff that isn't "perfect". I feel like a lot of artists only show perfect sketchbooks, which makes amateur artists feel like THEIR sketchbooks have to be perfect... and I don't think that's what a sketchbook is for. People need a place to experiment, practice, and be imperfect! I found you fairly recently and I love your art. You have a gorgeous style. Plus you're so creative in general! What a fun channel!

The only erasable pens I've used are the frixion brand but I totally rec them, you can also iron a page if you want to erase a page full of ink, haha.

Just a comment on pencil sketches. If you do a light, even just water, wash over them? Poof, they're semi-permanent and no longer smudge. It's absolutely wild, but I think it cements the graphite into the page like a watercolor pigment. I do it all the time, not even enough to wet the paper properly! Saved me so much grief and matte fixative spray.

It can be intimidating as heck, especially when watching amazing artists like this, but picking up artistic skills is, I believe, one of the most valuable gifts you can give yourself. Thanks for sharing your sketch book! This is my first time on your channel and I'm already ready to subscribe! I wish I could draw! I LOVE the Twilight movie series and I would love to be able to draw the characters in the movies! I can imagine how I would want to draw it, but my hands cannot do what my brain is thinking and that is frustrating! I would love to use some of that glow in the dark powder stuff, so let's say I drew Jacob from the movie and make a wolf silhouette around him using the glow in the dark powder stuff so that you can't see the silhouette unless you're in the dark. I'd love to do something like that for each main character, or do one big one with Bella, Edward, and their daughter! I think that would be so awesome! But again, my brain can think of the ideas, but my hands cannot bring those ideas to life! The struggle is real! LOL! But anyway, thank you for sharing your art work with us! Love it!

Also in relation to Spike, a lot of the fandom choose to disregard,,, *that* scene because, according to James Marsters himself, it was not originally intended for Spike. Basically Joss Whedon was like 'oh no people love Spike too much, what can I do to make them hate him again and prove he's still evil' and wrote that scene in. Blech.
