A quick overview of a historically interesting but underappreciated sidearm. The Czech CZ vz.27 produced under German occupation during WWII.

I really like these and the 24 as well. The Czech designs were always so unique and fun. Picked up a 27 years back but it was refinished...really should try and get an original finish before they jump too much in price.

Yeah one does have to appreciate how often they’ve come up with very out-of-the-box designs, and usually very successfully.

Mine holds 8 and almost seems as if a 9th could fit in the mag. Picked the pistol up around 2008 for $100 at a gunshow coverd in light rust and had no idea what it was other than European and in 32. As me and a friend cleaned off the rust his German wife noticed the nazi markings lol. It couldn't have been rusted long as it cleaned right off and looks great now, barrel has no pitting and its very reliable feeding hollwpoints and cast bullet reloads. Other than the weight its great littleish gun, weighs around as much as a Sig220

Nice! 100 sounds like it would’ve been a steal even by the standards of the day. I was also noticing it weighs about the same as my HK VP9 which is kinda funny considering it’s a just a .32 and nearly small enough to be a pocket pistol.

Nice pistol , I myself have not gotten into milsurp pistols , just the rifles . Hopefully I will have a video out on a Colt 1911 , made in 1913 , that I narrowed from my brother and on my Colt 1903 in .32 ACP made in 1926 . I had a interesting time shooting the Colt 1911 verses a new Remington 1911 and a High Standard 1911

Yeah I have several times as many milsurp rifles than pistols as well, and truth be told I don’t see myself getting very many more pistols. Colt 1903’s are pretty great, though. I used to have one and really regret selling it. It was really an awesome design for the time and very pleasant-shooting even by modern standards. In any case, always look forward to any content ya put out there.

The nice thing is that with so many made, they’re not super rare, even the occupation-period ones.

@@hobofactory Ya i see them at J&G all the parts are there ready to go. Hunters has them missing a mad and grip screws and that safety spring. i just might get one. THANKS.. RUSTY

@@lockstockandbarrel1385 Hey Lock ya Hunters has them CZ27's BUT they need a mag, grip screws , and the safety spring, and maybe a grip. There way behind there it will take for ever to get one.. gotta E mail them and find out how much the cost and shipping ect ect. OK later

as you know im a huge fan of european service pistols from the 1890s to the fall of communism great score i think the 27 is one of the few ive never owned

Nice pick-up..........Got a 1946 one with holster n extra mag.... Don't even think it was shot much still has a piece of cloth tape on bottom of mag saying "46" and yes only 650,000 made....be well.
