I need to ask this and hopefully a good answer? When you say that he who remains is the one the first multiverse war, what is the first multiverse war to us the viewers? Do we just accept it as movies we have never seen? Like is it something we will see on screen or something we the viewers have to make up? Idk if this makes sense lol.

When I was watching in theatres, I was really hoping they would’ve had Scott and Hope stuck in the Quantum Realm. It would’ve been their sacrifice to ensure Kang didn’t immediately threaten their universe and would’ve added some real stakes to the movie’s conclusion. Would’ve been more risky than what we actually got

Which looks like it’ll be little darker than all previous films that’s release for this next phase. Deadpool x Wolverine. And all the Secret Wars stuff. Captain 4. Spider Man. Whole lot coming.

In the second post credit scene, i feel when immortus and other two variant was talking about Kang's Death, i think they were speaking about "He who remains" from Loki as he is the one who stopped kang from crossing timeline and with his death by Sylvie, now all kang can cross over to multiverse and multiple timelines, so obviously they were speaking about He who remains not the one who was trapped in quantum realm, because he is not dead and go suck back to multiverse engine

When they were talking about the "exiled one" they were indeed talking about Kang...and He Who Remains as they are one and the same. He Who Remains told Sylvie that his death would herald the Kang Dynasty. My theory is that Scott unbeknownst to him actually freed Kang by sending him to The Void. It is there he meets Goliath and tames the beast.

Towards the end when they all came back from quantum realm they actually didnt go back to their own timeline. They all travelled to a totally different timeline. Noticed how all of a sudden the old bartender guy suddenly asked him for a payment when all along Scott was never charged for his coffee. And some people on the street looks at him differently. Just my observation

I think Scott and hope staying behind would not only be too similar to Antman 2 but wouldn’t feel overly impactful because it’s all but confirmed Cassie can get them out. Scott questioning his decision and having lingering doubt and guilt will make for a better arch for when he sees lang next

Just because Cassie can get them back out doesn't mean she can control time. Remember time works differently in the Quantum Realm. A few seconds outside could have easily translated to a few months within.

@@DayZeroGaming Yeah, except Scott is a very different character to Thor, Thor has always had a sense of reserve, Scott is just the most outward-going guy in the franchise. I mean remember when he straight up revealed his identity to Sam, saying "Hi, I'm scott"!

I'm satisfied with the ending we got. Them being stuck in the Quantum realm would have been to similar to the last movie and 1st Ant-Man post credit for Endgame. I would be surprised if they sprinkle Kang scenes through out the new MCU movies building up to the Avengers movies.

For booting up Phase 5 and for introducing a threat that's suppose to be a bigger threat than Thanos the movie was a dud. Majors was great; I'm sure down the line they'll definitely show Kang as more dangerous than Thanos. Just unfortunate in this movie they had Kang all over the place. Getting handed the defeat by a rag tag team and some Ants he was not aware of.

I agree. Kang literally brags about killing multiple Avengers (including Thor) but he can't defeat 3 smol ppl and a bunch of CGI Ants? Thanos in his first major appearance (Infinity War) smacks Hulk, kills Loki, and almost kills Thor who prob would've died if it weren't for the Guardians.

@@Adrian_37633 While prob tru, I meant just from an audience viewpoint. Seeing Thanos smack multiple heroes in his first few minutes showed us why he's the big bad of the Infinity Saga. Seeing Kang get beat by ants and not kill anyone notable doesn't really show us that he's a threat. Why should we be scared of 1,000 Kang's when one of the best Kang couldn't do anything?

The ending with Scott was walking and speaking with himself is strange. It seems like he stuck in the loop, or in different universe/ timeline, or stuck in the quantum realm with illusion in his mind.

Am I the only one that in the middle of the movie I was wondering myself if Kang the Conqueror was the same Kang as the he who remains from Loki? He literally told that his plan is to stop all the other Kang and stabilize the timeline, as he who remains did. Getting stuck in the multiverse engine might just be part of the timeline to came back and surprise the council of kang and beat them then do whatever he want and ending up as the he who remains.

In Loki he who remains begins with saying a variant of himself lived on earth in the 31st century he also states that other variants were also learning the same thing. He then goes on to say when the multiverse broke out into all out war all variants fought in order to preserve their universe. He then goes on to say that the 1st variant is the one who found a alioth and so on but then he says I meaning him, that he is the first variant that he is the one that weaponized alioth and again says I ended the multiversal war then he goes on to say once I isolated our timeline all I had to do was manage the flow of time and prevent any further branches I also think he was talking directly to Loki from 616 when he said our timeline. another thing to point out when he who remains explains the stacking of universe pay attention to the Nathaniel Richard’s the first variants wearing glasses the one who he meets doesn’t have glasses then when he says some of us only know new lands as in new lands to be conquered now the little Nathaniel has his conquering head gear on I think that’s something to keep an eye on! Emergency tell me what you think! The way he talks about it makes me think he is the 616 Nathaniel richards because technically on the marvel movies would be in the sacred timeline but everything after ant-man would technically be the who replaced he who remains in the void it would be his timeline now

I think when it said Kang will return at the end of the film, I think they did actually mean this specific one. Yeah, of course it could have meant other Kangs. But why can't it be both? I think this was written this way for a reason and why Loveness was brought to write Kang Dynasty. He has plans he set up in Ant Man 3 that for sure add more context for why things happened this way.

I’m really glad with what we got. It would have been interesting for Scott and Hope to get stuck in the quantum realm but it was a good way to end the movie the way it did. I thought it was really interesting and funny how Scott was wondering if he made a mistake from stopping Kang escaping the quantum realm. I’m so excited to see all the different Kangs in the multiverse saga!!

bit disappointed on kang, he doesn’t show feat as multiverse conqueror, also there is so many bugs in this movies, while defeat them all, why is he not remove all their equipments, them are all normal human without suit. He doesn’t need Scot Lang, all he need is Pym Particles, from here another one confuse me, kang got Darren who know how to make pym particles, kang is very technology advance and smart person, pretty sure he can find make something similar, he did shrink all of them into quantum realm.

I was thinking so much that there would be some terrible sacrifice in this movie! Since all the 3rd installments of the MCU movies usually upend a hero's life! Iron Man 3 had Tony give up his suits! Captain America Civil War had Steve give up the shield and his freedoms for his friend Thor Ragnarok had Thor lose his father, sister, and home! Spiderman No Way Home had Peter lose his loved ones! In Quantumania Scott lost his discounted coffee!

I saw it in Real 3D 4DX last week. I love that movie! And, as usual, there were people there who have never seen a movie on 4DX, and the guy 2 seats down from me got his popcorn and drink all over the place. Quantumania had us shook, shaken, and thrown around more than that last Fast & Furious movie did.

My theory is that He who remains is the same variant as Kang. I say that because it would make sense that a younger more vicious Kang would go through all of the adventures that He who remains would have and win the war. He even says that he has been called a conqueror in his old days. When they restarted the timeline it restarted his story and he's gonna end up at the same point of becoming He who remains.

He isn't the same variant because HWR was killed in Loki. What he did was try to hold off all the other variants from becoming powerful or running amok and taking control. He knew when he died the worse parts of other Kangs will trying to gain power and control. He was cool, tranquil in contrast to the Kang in Antman 3. Though he did act cool at times you saw how anger and out of control. This Kang has been around for a bit but not as long as HWR

@@n34z3r the He Who Remains we met in Loki was at the end of time; the multiverse war had already taken place, which he won, and when Loki and Sylvie made to his citadel, they were no longer in the MCU present day. They might have tens of thousands of years into the future since time works differently there and for HWR. The Kang we met in Ant Man 3 100% could be HWR and my guess is, he is.

I think so also. Thematically, it would be very satisfying. Kang's character motivations are the same as HWR, and they have the same power point presentation they give to the heroes. I do think Marvel was at the very least trying to draw a connection between the two.

Honestly, there was a moment at the end where I thought Kang was going to kill Scott, and I thought that would have fit really well. Kang could still have been trapped in the Quantum Realm, but it would have really highlighted the threat of Kang. Whereas the movie ended basically feeling like a filler episode. This movie felt 40% exposition, 40% set-up, and like 20% actual movie enjoyment. Even if Scott had been trapped in the Quantum Realm again, he's a comic relief character! He could have just said, "ah man, not again!" And it would have still been better than how things actually ended.

Tbh, I would love to see Skrull Many during Secret Invasion. No Kang variants in Secret Invasion while Skrull Many is out there in the multiverse somewhere almost seems like an injustice.

I do think they had a scene showing Kang escaping, but wanted to preserve that twist for a later project... maybe even Loki S2... who knows! Love the film regardless, and actually don't mind that they brought Scott and Hope back, as it grounds the film back to it's core value surrounding family, while also showing Scott growing (pun intended) as a character to spend more time with Cassie.

Well damn Ant-Man 4 dude I honestly jus want to see Kang fuck up the Avengers in the Avengers The Kang Dynasty and I loved his variants in the post and mid credit scenes as well they were rlly dope! The Young Avengers is being set up so I like the roster is looking interesting especially for the young heroes in the last few projects of Phase 4 so I rlly do think this can be good set for Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. I think king dynasty is going to be a true multiverse movie where kings run up do their thing, linking up all the movies like they did with guardians and avengers in infinity war, linking up various marvel movie universes, then secret wars is going to be a single universe story where. lot of crazy things happen with the young avengers like America chavez play a major role, but my only problem is they all are women, which I appreciate but some male characters are much appreciated in young avengers.

The way the other variants idolize these 3 (Rama-Tut, Immortus & Scarlet Centurion) makes me wonder if these 3 variants (because of their influence) were actually the ones who inspired He Who Remains to dub them as the 3 time keepers ,with the 4th destroyed statue we saw at the citadel in loki season finale representing the banished Kang. 🤔

I think the idea of Ant-Man and the Wasp being stuck in the quantum realm doesn't make sense when in the beginning it's pointed out that Cassie can just get them out and that the machine could do that very quickly.

Part of me was hoping that Kang killed Ant Man in that end scene. Not that I don't love Paul Rudd in these movies but with the whole "Have I killed you before? After awhile you all just blur together" I was thinking shit they are going to kill ant man to set a tone for these movies. It would have been risky but damn would it have been a great twist.

They should have gotten out as they did then then kang should have appeared infront of them and say something like ohh thats where you ran off to . I like this realm, then he should have said something like you will see me again and he simple vanished. That's would have been doped . Because there is absolutely no way antman would have or could have defeated Kang, even insinuating it is crazy

I think the Conqueror Kang is the one who becomes He Who Remains. Character growth... he falls in love with Ravonna and she changes him. That's why she's important to him in Loki.
