In a way both NME's rounds are great counters. The anti headshot round and the heaven round after being killed. But I agree with you its not the style they were expecting. If he had made a event version of that song with a suitable drop he may have took it. I hope you dont miss the judge showcases of this event, especially Beardyman was insane but I think you'd like all of them.

I think this was one of the best showcase in the history of loopstation no doubt (watched the original video like 20 times when it first came out). In my opinion, Rythmind had the best "BATTLE" rounds and therefore won over because this was after all a competition (very strong first round with catchy drop and catchphrase + very well thought second round and great build up into the "flat lining" cold ending), but NME made a first banger drop and then showcased his music which I was mindblowned with at how cool it was. He doesn't have to to turn red over the situation as he also delivered a master piece. Forever greatful for those artists to step up on the big stage and show us that.

You should react to the battles of the SBX KBB21 loop station. Start with the quarter finals between Mirsa vs KBA 1 and 2. Then continue with the others. This competition was one of the best in pandemic. Greetings 😁

I personally would have given the win to NME. Music in battles doesn't always need a drop imo, but to come up with such a thing? Bro Rythmind killed him with his second round and NME's response was a musical masterpiece about his soul leaving his body, ascending into the sky and joining the angels in heaven. Let's break it down: Creativity? Hell yeah, the most creative round that's ever been done at GBB. Originality? Hell yeah again, nobody has done that before. Battle move? Yeah, but only if one cought the meaning behind that Sound quality? HAVE YOU HEARD THIS? Well yeees, mindblowing Crowd response? Well sometimes less is more. In this case utter silence isn't a bad thing I think the thre things the judges din't like might have been 1) the tiny mistake at the beginning 2) not getting the message of it 3) no hardcore drop But tbf I'm only a producer, a "regular" musician and a beatboxer, but no looper. So maybe I missed some deciding factors there and it might just be my irrational opinion because I love this second round of NME's

I really hope you ignore the people saying to go to GBB 2021 next, linearly you should go to the Kickback Battle and Kickback Loopstation battle, (KBB) which were interim events made for the lockdowns. There are compilations for the winners, but I think you'd prefer watching the full battles. After you've watched those it then went to GBB 2021

Yus, I finally have time to properly appreciate this reaction. I hate my job for making me miss Headshot and NME's second round. Headshot makes me lose my shit but... I DON'T GIVE ABOUT THE MO-FUCKING PO. Perfect segue. Disgusting drop. That shit is SO HARD. Rythmind's second round is the most careful, controlled sound I think I've ever heard but, still, like... HEADSHOT. This second round from NME is probably my favourite round ever. I'm just in Lothlorien the entire time. I understand that it looses because it's just a soundscape and there isn't a 'drop' but I think it's something so remarkably different, unapproached, and so timless. It's just a based feeling. Regardless of who won/lost, the rounds in this battle will always be among my favourite moments and I'll always love them so much.

I'd love for you to watch the KBB: Kickback Loopstation Battles (They have unarguably some of the best sound quality you will ever hear for loop stations). Also, the GBB:21 Loopstations are also INSANE, so that would be cool a well. But the KBB is such an underrated event.

Man.....who watched Brez Reaction & Maddox reaction to NME vs Inkie, know that Inkie should be in that final! He wasn't cheating at all, it was just poore organization.....organizators allowed his second device without telling him that there may be some restrictions while using it (but actually that leg pedal loopstation wasn't even in No list to bring with you to battles) + judges for some reason decided that they are gods and if Gbb organization allowed this device they could cut Inkie from final calling him cheater for using all the power that device has, stupidity 🤦‍♂️. I also know that Inkie showed what exactly he did in his rounds and they appologized to him for thinking all this bs! But I think their "Forgive us" was making Inkie a part of Gbb, a judge for loopstation battles + doing some live streams & showcases too!
