Beatness was the defending loop champion from the year before, and so-so, it was his first time at gbb loop. So beatness were one of the favorites, while so-so had nothing to lose and ended up beating the champion already in the QF. The downside for so-so were that he used his two best rounds already against beatness

Love this battle because it just works on so many levels: It's just 4 different sets very different artists but both really, really solid. It's also the new up and coming kid upsetting the previous loop ggb champ on his very first elimination. And last as you mention, just look at the views this video got: I'm beyond happy that So-So was smarter than most other beatboxers businesswise and got himself an agent, promoted the hell out of his stuff and basically launched a legit music career in Japan doing tours, releasing singles, the works. Out of the strength of this one video. That is something you just don't see everyday but wish more beatboxers would branch out and to be fair, they're kinda now doing that way more but So-So was definitively a trail blazer in the business aspect regard so mad props to him on that alone... Of course his music is just fucking sick so there's that on top.

Beatness is actually been doing looping for way longer then soso but the the reason why you think soso is better is because their styles are way different. The music beatness makes isnt really suited for battles like this but he did become a world champion

Beatness' 1st round was such a vibe but danggg, that bass is kinda out of tune. A similar issue to NME's basses as well being a bit too distorted and muddy. Nevertheless these are the GOATS

I love Beatness and to see his actual skill you need to watch his battles from the previous year(2018) where he was the champion. Also please react to 2021 GBB Loopstation Battles. It was one of the best in GBB's history. New subscriber here 👊
