I think the rumour of him cheating wasn't based on if it was pre-recorded sounds but more so if his second device was considered "illegal" to the competition because the sounds that came out just from one input (like a kick or snare) was so insane like a produced track. But other loopstation artists have mentioned that it's not just about the device but more about how well someone knows how to use the device to maximum potential which is why Inkie is now considered one of the biggest pioneers of modern loopstation style of the past few years. He's one of those "ahead of his times" legends.

I love SO-SO! It makes me so happy just to see him! On Spotify he has one of the best track called Psycho Looper, not sure he did that in the GBB contest, maybe.. but I love it!

That first So-So rounds is one of his least reponsives in terms of the audience but at the same time, it's so syncopated and plays around with rhythm so much it's very progressive sounding, extremely complex but well, most people can't quite graps a danceable, enjoyable beat there. Not anywhere as catchy for that kinda crowd as his 2 rounds vs Beatness. It's very out there but for someone like me coming out of a progresive rock/metal background I immediatel get it but people on more of a hip hop/EDM scene like beatbox it's fairly uncommon to get such things as the *core* of your round. As for Inkie that was the controversy yes: Nobody knew exactly what the Line 6 Helix could do but they approved Inkie to use it anyway without realizing 'This is basically full on programmable synthethizer that can be triggered by any sound'. Again if you play guitar you'd know: You can set it so it replaces the main note with a 'Harmonizer' effect and that harmonizer effect can also be programmed to use a musical scale so it knows 'First note Replace with an E and then use an E minor scale in this specific order to harmonize my main sound' meaning you just go 'Hmm' on the mic and the result is well, a full on melody and harmony (The melody you get by 100% wet meaning no core note just the sequence then a *second* harmonizer on top that harmonizes the first sequence) GBB judges and people probably looked at the Line 6 Helix and realized 'Oh it has multiple effects like phasers, chorus, reverbs, distortions, etc. Sure go ahead inkie' without realizing this can be cleverly used to just trigger almost the entire song if you want to but I must stress: *Inkie followed the rules literally it was just very poor foresight on the part of GBB* but again, you often cannot guess space man from the future would come down from Russia and fully utilize a guitar multieffects pedals better than even most actual guitarists would.

What I've found about this battle from watching Sxin & Chezame's analysis in this battle that Inkie was using mostly reverb, the delays and some pitch delays "I'm a guitarist and Ik about line6 helix" which is the reason you can clearly see he always makes a sound in the mic and using those + Boss RC 505's "also some pitch switches+delays? and wah pedal" effects he is making crazy sounds, where as Sxin & Chezame also explained that soso was the real one who actually cheated in this round.

I don't know Inkie personally, neither as a fan (I just know him, but I've never checked his activities on KZfaq or anywhere else), and I'm not a looper, neither a loop judge, I don't even beatbox. I don't mean to judge by appearance too, I didn't even follow GBB back in 2019, I don't bla bla bla bla... My point is that I don't know anything about it. But I look at Inkie's performances, I saw that he really liked making musics, and he seems like a very honest and kind person. Even 'thinking' about the fact he could've cheated (which isn't true) is really hard for me, I don't know what the judges had in mind but it's just weird to think about it...

Brez and d low have talked about it before, the judges thought inkies 2nd device was making sounds for him but he was making them. At the start of his first round Beardyman says “he’s cheating” and Sam Perry is agreeing.

You can definitely tell So-So got into rough waters once he switched the beat and just seemed to kinda flounder in the first round. The rap is the base for another of his old songs on his YT page which is actually a banger, but he just couldn't put it together and ended up improving or using a beat he wasn't used to. huge fan of both these dudes, both legends doing some CRAZY shit on the pads. Inkie was just prepared with his settings/had a plan for what he wanted to do and got right into just like So-So did in earlier rounds Also, if you want a SERIOUS deep cut on a crazy good beatboxer who never went to GBB, scope out Ozealous, dude is one of the cleanest in the game and all he does is mess around on Omegle to put up a video every once and awhile, I really hope one day he takes a shot at GBB, but I doubt he will. If you don't believe me, like 10 years ago he posted a vid called 'Levels', it's only two minutes and hes only gotten better and crisper over the years, his newest video's first beat would EASILY get him wildcard imo, and that's him just fucking around lol.

No one at that point understood the full potential of the RC-505 or the Helix. You could create that effect easily with an infinite delay, super simple but most at that time don't understand their tools and how to judge on them. If it was understoon back then Inkie would have won. As a sorry we messed up they offered him a judge position though in the following two GBB22 (Loopstation Judge) / GBB23 (Producer Category Judge)
