this is by far one of the hardest beatbox videos ever. SO-SO is insane but this just nuts.

All of these are dubstep/ edm somgs that were played at Lost Lands. All insane how he makes them sound exactly like the song. The super dark one that gave you goosebumps is Maze Of Punishment - Svdden Death. If you wanna compare how insanely close sounding it is.

So-So's genius lvl is out of this world.. he's build different those dark bases. And he's style icon just like Show-Go.

That sound at 4:24 is his special sound, live it hits insane, probably my favorite beatbox sound

as someone who listen to dubstep and is familiar with Lost Lands, this was amazing to watch when it came out and recognizing all these songs!

Bro when this mix dropped last year it was all I listened to for like three days and kept trying to find more and more reactions to it. Glad to see people are still coming across this masterpiece. Believe he did all of this by planning and performing the different parts with a mix probably of looping but also some producing and mixing on the backend with software. Beatboxing has evolved beyond just boots and cats on a mic into this kind of industry of its own full of young and talented producers, DJ's, rappers, songwriters, etc., many of whom possess more than a few of these skills at a given time. Like you said, homie should just change his name to SO-Skilled. Another well known producer in the scene is Hiss. His video "Who Cares" with him and Alexinho is pretty much all beatbox, it's just mixed and mastered perfectly with some reverb and stuff.

oh my f***ing god!! So-So just activated whatever is a level above beast mode. About as insane and majestic as I've heard him, unreal talent. I can't stop laughing but then I immediately switch to jaw-dropped mode when a new drop hits like thunder in the face! Just amazing ladies and gents :D

I remember on your Inkie vs So-So vid you said how So-So was also in the same, very electronic style as Inkie a couple of days ago and I was thinking 'Wait till he hears Lost Lands medly' Also the thing I really like is that while he is very good at doing the production needed, the surprising thing is that some of the sounds you'd think are the most produced are actually *the least produced* as he has pulled off some of those insane lasers sounds and such when doing just a capella beatboxing solo or with Sarukani and in some other videos in fact, he always surprises the crowd on how good some of this strange sounds well, sound, with just a microphone it's uncanny and kind of his signature a few years back but well, I feel being utilized to an even bigger effect in this mix

Re: looping vs producing. Looping has gotten so crazy that for GBB 23 it had been split into 2 categories: looping (just the loopstation) and production (loopstation plus other devices) This should hopefully lead to more balanced battles.

By the way comment #2 because well the algorithm loves that sh!t anyway: Around 11:28 if you catch why that's one of the most dead on to the original its likely because So-So has cited Rezz as one of his biggest influences for a long time now so I think he dedicates just that bit of extra time to reproduce her sounds. I think there was a version of one of her songs that So-So did that even got her attention and Rezz to follow So-So on twitter and the guy was over the moon about it, so nice to see such wholesome stories on twitter vs well, you know what's usually there.

The combination of beatbox and producing is not easy to do well. Once you get deep into production it's easy to start thinking: well why limit yourself to vocal sounds? This is why. Limitations breed creativity and SO-SO has creativity for days

I like him he is a really good producer and performer but this is not beatboxing it's production from his beatbox samples. Take away all the fx's and it will sound $hit, I'm just staying real - grounded. He can also beatbox really well but if people can't tell the difference between raw beatboxing (from his voice) and sound production (sampling and sound manipulation) I'm really sorry.
