I hope Megadeth will, don't think Metallica will, Slayer probably won't either. I'm not even sure Metallica is doing anything for their 40th at this point. Megadeth has two years to prepare if they want to do this type of thing though.

This series is so good. It's made me listen to each album from start to finish, which I haven't done in years. I've always known the albums are amazing, but I'd forgotten just how amazing when you listen end to end, rather than just odd songs with my whole music collection on random play. Especially Among The Living. It's an almost impossibly good album.

When you take on tour with you bands like Living Colour and King's X that means you are a badass band. I also love the way the band writes lyrics, simple but at the same time profound. @Myles O'Peter LMAO! Yeah, right - they both totally suck. That's why Living Colour's first album sold 2 million copies and why "Cult Of Personality" was played constantly by MTV and rock radio. And why Kings X has a large cult following, influenced many bands, and has had a 30+ year career. I'm a musician and I've known hundreds of musicians over the years, and I've never heard one single musician say that they don't like those bands. In fact, most pro musicians talk about how great both bands are, like how the members of Anthrax did here. So you're in a small minority of idiots who have bad taste in music.

About 15 years ago, I introduced my son to Anthrax. He was around 9yo, but after listening to several albums, he said "OK, this is like 'Smart Metal'. It's fast, and heavy, but not evil and satanic. I LIKE IT!" For the record, it was at this time I introduced him to "OLD Metallica", and he was floored. 80s thrash just blew his mind in general.

Well fuck it here it is again ^^. Finally saw you guys live on this tour. Hammersmith, London. Living Color set the place on fire, then you guys came on and gave us a major kicking. All night I was waiting for Caught In A Mosh, had to wait for the first encore. The next few minutes are a blur. My brain caught up with my body and I found myself sprinting down the side of the venue. Staff were all distracted by the pit and I had a clear run. Up on stage, grinned at the crowd and started moshing like a loon. 10 seconds all going well, 20 seconds in I start thinking I might be getting away with this. 30 seconds in the hand hits my shoulder, I stop flailing as there were some fine ladies in the front row, suddenly I realise this guy is jumping on my back, so I went for it and started stomping. That was when I saw the microphone. I will always remember the tender way Joey screamed into my ear "You crazy English Motherfucker". He stayed there for about a minute alternating between singing and yelling in my ear. Then it was over, Joey jumped off he was at work after all. I turn throw you guys 🤘🤘 and exit stage front. Head first of course. I was 17. Still a Highlight of my life. Love you guys, Keep On Spreading The Disease.

Danny was perfect for Anthrax, his style was unique and weird and wonderful. His leads on Spreading the Disease and Among the Living are irreplaceable. I dont understand why he doesn't get more appreciation. But later albums gave the guitar solos less space and less spotlight so I can understand why he would be dissatisfied. @@scartissue121 I love when guitarists incorporate bluesy phrasing in hard rock and metal - that's why I prefer 70's style lead playing over 80's style. Too much shred with no feel or soul is lame - that's why I don't really like Jon Donais. He's great technically, but he has zero bluesiness or soul in his playing. And the same goes for the majority of new school metal players. All of the original metal guitarists like Tony Iommi, KK Downing & Glenn Tipton, Adrian Smith & Dave Murray, Michael Schenker and even Uli Roth has lots of blues influence in their styles.

@@dowens3781 i just felt like Dan Spitz had this rad unique sound to his shredding on Among. Notably caught in a mosh, horror of it all and especially his solo on i am the law. Sounds like its from another planet and is certainly not the approach I would have used to support those riffs, but it works so good. Thats what i felt abit let down with when exploring his later albums. Feels like almost anyone could come up with random bluesy licks that featured there. I hard agree with the soulless shredding of others though - 10 times worse than any blues licks would ever be

I really appreciate the fact that the whole bunch of people who in anthrax have been mentioned or involved in these videos, I know we haven't seen Rob yet and the early early guitarist (who is always on KZfaq complaining about Scott and the fact that his real 2nd name used to be rosenfeld,) and how he is the one who wrote most of fist full of metal, but yeah, thanks for doing this lads, it's great to hear from the people who are the band and the history behind everything, wish we could get something like this from slayer, sepultura, testament etc, but I doubt dave lombardo would like to work with kerry King again, but you never know.

Thank You guys for doing this series it brings back alot of memories. I even will forget the time I approached Scott on 45th and Broadway on my way home from work and he shunned me! I forgive you. I have loved this band since 87 and still do!!

Great series!!! And agree with another earlier post, these are getting me to revisit the albums and listen again and it's been.a great trip down memory lane. I'm surprised they didn't mention the HBB tour they did with Exodus and Helloween in 89 for SOE.

I saw Infectious Grooves support Anthrax on the 'Stomp 442' tour in Australia. I'll write more about that show if they ever get to that album on these videos. Because it was a doozy.

This series is awesome. Great to hear the stories from all the members and their friends/peers. I’ve been lucky enough to meet all of the original members a few times. They are exactly as they are in this series, down to earth and really in it for the music and their fans. All are amazing musicians.

I was today years old when I realized that Scott Ian's NOT guitar has no frets where it says NOT. I assume it's to signify that he is a rifflord and not a shredder. Similar to the way Max Cavalera only puts the top 4 stings on his guitar. Awesome.
