Hi Karen 🤗 I think you are the only one to mention the doll 😂 (I know I'm not mentioning it-Lol) Don't you just love a big old clawfoot tub? We had one many years ago that was only 4 feet! Wayyy too tiny. The one in our home now is huge, I like to say it holds 100 gallons but it's prob a little less. My tub is wonky for sure but it's grown on me. This sounds incredibly wonderful! Like one of the photos I showed? Why are those tin modules so darn charming?! 🥰 When I originally set out, my plan was to make it a bit smaller than scale. Years ago we had a tiny 4 ft claw tub where we lived. It was soo small as to almost not be functional. So I figured it would be fine for the dolls and save on room. I guess adding all the layers of foil and clay caused it to grow. Lol! I'm still debating whether or not a toilet is necessary..🤣😂😍✨🚽

@@thedollcupboardYes, same style, but it has tin sheet sides as well and a tiny zink and a toilet that can actualy flush by pulling a chain (which will open a valve connected to a hanging tank on the backside of the module), and the watertap in the zink and bathtub does function by filling a small tank on the backside wall of the room module and the waste water goes into a giant tank under the floor. At some point there has been a switch and battery holder for a tiny little brass lamp ower the zink as well, the lamp is still there but the switch and connectors are long gone. Will see if i manage to restore it back to functional without destroying the original. That module was a lucky shoot and i hawe not even seen another after that, those with only the backside and no real watertanks i seen i think only two or tree times but i was heavily outbid on them as expected... ha ha I hawe not decided on the toilet either, but i certanly will use one for a tiny bathroom i plan to make anyway just because i want to use them for something, i won a whole little box of wooden toilets and wooden zinks for early 1950-60s 1:18 dollshouses, but those seem to be quite large and chunky for that scale but does fit my 1:12 American dollshouse whan i tried it.´(Not sure about the manufacturer, but i think they are made in Sweden for those older celluliod and porslin head dolls which where slightly larger than the 1970s Lundby and Brio scale, i think that is the reason they fit my 1:12 dolls, i gave my 1:18 house to my mother a few years ago because i know she secretly wanted one for her self and my brothers kids as an excuse tp play with it... Honestly i can't blame her since i hawe 3 dollshouses my self... Ha ha)). I managed to get a genuine American 1:12 dollshouse a few years ago, the shipping was horredously expensive so most of my savings did went to the shipping company and chargo import taxes that year, but i newer regetted it, it is just so beautiful and i realy love it so much! I bought a small vintage 1940s reinforced oval table at a fleamarket to put it on, it is almost for feet wide and it barely goes under the narrow ceilings in the old farmhouse i live in... ha ha, my plan is to make a small garden for it in the future from materials i gather in the nature mixed with flower kits i hawe. Your work has been a great inspiration!

My plan is to use a large clamshell i found in Spain long time ago as a zink, i also working on a coachtable i made from a cork mushroom (no idea what specimen, but it was deffinitely not edible anyway, so no loss there at least... ha ha!) i dried it and painted it with many layers of latex fixative, so i hope it will last for a while now... I just need to make a foot for it so it can stand on it's own before i can call it done. The dollshouse is a very slow going project i work on when i am in the right mood, i got some original Bardburry dollshouse tapisery for it as well (same as i dreaming of for my full size house.), but i hawe not got the nerves to put them up yet because i am extremely nervous of ruining them, i know i would newer forgive my self if i destroyed them! So i decided to start with some more easily obtainable tapisery for my Melissa kit shop as soon as i finished the paintjob on it (which will happen as soon as i remember where i did put the last glasing for the front entry so i can glue up the last pices, super annoying, but that is how i usualy am, i always hawe like two milions of things going on at the same time in my head but i can only do one thing at the time...). It will be a mixture of vintage and new things. Unfortunately i only hawe new made chinese dolls at the moment, i dreaming of finding vintage porslin dolls like Yours and Debbies, to mix in in the future, but they are super hard to find where i live. I will absolutely take some pictures for You as soon as i can remember to before the winterdarkness sets in... I allredy longing for the spring time flowers to blossom so i can take photos, but there is still several months before that happen.
