Dave Hirschman gives you a "virtual" checkout in your AOPA Sweepstakes RV-10. Fly with Dave as he introduces you to your airplane as he will when he hands the keys to the lucky winner. (Note: the correct empty weight is 1,650 lbs. Graphic on the screen is incorrect.)

Great flying by by an excellent pilot. I have set my eyes and skills on those shown by you Dave as the level I hope to achieve. Great avionics and plane also.

I would love one with side sticks and T-lever throttle quadrant. Oh! A full fadec diesel power-plant and 3-bladed prop and VG's would also be awesome.

Sweet airplane. I think the listed empty weight maybe a typo and needs to be adjusted. It's equipped very similar to my own RV-10 and it weighs in at 1635. 1060 empty sounds pretty optimistic.

Haaaaaa! Check you're blood-alcohol! 10K - 12K altitude sounds perfect. Any oxygen on board or would we need to add?

I think we are technically part of AOPA here in Denmark as well. Is it only for US members or can Europeans become members too and win? Because that's a pretty cool bird and I'd fly that over the atlantic :)

That N number will be great if a 15 year old girl wins it. For grown people, it's a little too dumb. That's OK...repainting it will be worth it. :)

quinnjim the N number was already assigned - they didn’t notice the 0MG part until they went to repaint it and decided to have a little fun with it. The 260 was for the engines horsepower.

@@Twest130 Right, my point was they didn't really notice the whole "OMG" thing and decide to make it a design feature until picking the paint scheme. I probably saw the same video you did. Maybe I misunderstood though?

Since the camera is primarily on Dave, I guess he is what you could win? Why does the camera have to constantly be on the host? Ego problems? Isn't the purpose of this to display THE PLANE? Too many times the description is lost waiting see what the hell he is describing. Who ever sets up the video needs to learn that the host is NOT the subject of the video, unless he/she is the only subject. But then ego is a precarious thing. Dave might be slighted if he is not the sole object of the camera. Very poor presentation of the plane, great presentation of Dave. Congrats
