I've had mine for 8 months now, And ride it daily out here in SE Arizona. All ive done to it is add a tail rack cell holder and a full size camo backpack that raps over the frame. Im 58 and surprises people that I would take this out in the desert.. Has been a great rider and enjoyable experience..

I own an S17, I like the size of the bike, being tall (over 6") the bike is a much better fit for me than other ebikes. Thanks for the review.

I do like this bike, but you would be better off with the 750w version if you're looking to put it on trails. The 1500w is a better Street cruiser.

Great review! I've always liked that bike, the S17 also! Looks like a direct drive motor..how's the torque?

Surprisingly, I felt the bike was tuned for a smooth slow start so I honestly had a hard time being able to tell if it was really a powerful motor. When my friend who is over 200+ lbs road it who has a powerfully tuned 750watt fat bike, he said he felt it was really good and definitely had more pulling power even though it accelerated slower, it was obviously tuned to be a less aggressive start. It’s a powerful ebike, just not jerky so for me it’s harder to tell

I also want to mention that FedEX destroyed my first bike and damaged my replacement. Most ignoble needs to improve their packaging and hold FedEX liable for their careless handling of ebikes.

I got a question for you I just got a blackbird 26 inch and it seems to be locked at.class 2 specs. I know how to get to the settings menu but cannot seem to find out how or what settings to change.

I had to contact area13 to get the settings to change it to a class three. They sent me a link to a video they made in the past on KZfaq that had all the settings step by step. Sorry, I don’t have the link to send you, but you might want to email them or look in their video history and it will show you how to do it step by step. Prepare to fly!

Speed should be the only factor in regulating bicycles, not motor power. So your Aostirmotor should be legal to ride on-road with the speed limit as the only factor. It is STUPID to say that 750 watts is the legal limit. That is like saying a 800 horse-power truck can not be on the road while a puny little Mini-Cooper car can be. Both the truck and the car are limited by the speed limit, not power!

Good point! A 750watt can do speeds over 35mph if geared right and tuned to do it. Do you think the government will change the regulation? If they do, I hope they keep the 750w motor in place and just require software limitations. The 750w is helpful in getting you moving quickly from a dead stop especially in traffic.

Yes, the law should be amended to allow for more powerful motors. 750 watts won't be sufficient if you live in San Francisco, Seattle or Portland.

there's already mud on the rear sus and you barely rode it, that fender is a crime, like the rest of the bike

Yeah. The start of the off-road trail was really muddy and all the bikes took a mud bath that day. I’d definitely remove the fenders in the summer when we’re back to dessert type riding.

@@EbikeProducts it's not about removing the fenders, they're just in a wrong spot as the designer lacks any expertese, like the battery solution, frame design, fork selection, it's all garbage. See Cyrusher Ranger for a fat bike done right.

@@lIlIlIlIlIlIlIlIlI Ahhhh. Gotcha! That Cyrusher ranger is definitely one BEAUTIFUL machine. I guess you kind of get what you pay for as that Cyrusher is nearly double to cost. I hope to try one someday as those specs are definitely high end. Aostirmotor is definitely targeting the budget sensitive crowd with their ebikes vs the Ranger. It's a really great bike for the price as I am sure the Ranger is too.
