We are buying a 1975 apache mesa tomorrow! I cannot wait! Thanks for this video.

I still think this is one of the best styles and designs of pop-up campers. I wish a modern manufacturing company would pickup where Apache left off.

I’m not even kidding, I saw this a few months ago and have been wishing for this kind of camper. I’ve restored another in the meantime and today I became the proud owner of my own Apache! Same colour too! Thank you for the video ❤️

We had one exactly like this one. Although the windows weren’t this big. We had so many great memories in ours. I was so thrilled to find this video. Thank you for sharing. ❤

Camped in one these throughout the 80’s as a young kid. I will never forget how cool and a pain in the ass it was to setup! 😂

Hahaha, same! My poor dad would spend hours getting the camp setup. Cool little trailer once it was all assembled.

My parents had this exact trailer when I was a kid. It’s charming now, but I was so jealous of anyone traveling in a motorhome back then. I remember we had to completely unpack everything to assemble/disassemble. It was a process. But, super lightweight and compact when towing.

That is an amazing piece of engineering!

And is definitely better than the flimsy fabric ones that are being shoved out on the market today. Why do all the truly GREAT camper brands go bankrupt all the time?!

I had never heard of these types of campers before. Saw one on Facebook marketplace last week. 1976 Apache Mesa for 1300. Did as much research as possible because I had never seen a popup that wasn't canvas before. Was skeptical but I also noticed how hard it is to find any information on this exact year and model. Also noticed how scarce they seem to be. I think alot of people buy them to either refurbish them or scrap them for parts. Ended up buying the one I saw on marketplace because I figured I'd probably never see one for sale again. And I was surprised by it's condition being how old it is. Everything on it works. It's missing the original stove. The gas heater was gutted except for the front cover and a cheap electric heater was inside of it. Still has the original curtains and linoleum floor Floor isn't too bad. Just a nick down the middle. Both outer beds have the original cover on them but one is torn where the old man I got it from used to let his dogs sleep on one side. It raises up and down evenly. Needs new wheels. Had a flat 4 miles away from where I bought it. The air conditioner also works and so does the fridge. And i believe its the original fridge. Still has the original sink with no marks of any kind on it. And the guy left all kinds of camping stuff packed in all its storage. Im honestly excited about fixing it up.
My parents always talked about getting one....alas, it was just talk. As they aged, they transitioned from tent camping to cabin stays, instead.

Hi Andrea, and everyone. I am looking around for an Apache to buy. I noticed these post are all around 2 years old. If anything has changed between now and then, if your aunt and uncle decide they don’t want this anymore, please let me know. I am eager and ready to buy an Apache! Thanks!

I have one. When I bought the land it was on it. I didn't know it is a pop up my neighbor told me. Everything is original in it.

We’re about to buy one for 3500$ is it worth this price ? Also where do you store mattress when you take it down ?
@andreap5951 Жыл бұрын
As long as it has zero rust and all of the parts, $3500 isn't terrible. Finding parts for it is difficult. Mattresses get stored in the camper.
