Today I show you how to make the Aperol Sour. In this video I showw a side by side comparison. One without egg white and one with. This little experiment is to see how the egg white changes the flavor of this cocktail. Aperol is an Italian Aperitif and has slight citrus notes and brings a nice tart taste to a sour. These easy sour cocktails are sime and they taste great try them out and let us know what you think.

Everytime you do that Egg thing, I’m like 🤢 inside. But the 151. 🤣🤣 Interesting to see a sour with Frothiness. Mind you, you know I’m a Foamer guy! Question is...if you went out to a Bar, and they served you a Sour without froth, would YOU accept it??
@boozeontherocks
@boozeontherocks 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, because a good cocktail is still a good cocktail, and not every bar would carry the requirements for foam. I need to order some foaming bitters but they are a good $33+ a bottle.

@boozeontherocks

Usually that would be correct. But you can do it either way. some sear that it makes a better foam and some do not. Usually I prefer to shake dry then wet. And thank you very much :)

What alcohol can be used other than Gin? This simple sugar, is it heated and cooled or is it purchased ready to use?
@boozeontherocks
@boozeontherocks 3 жыл бұрын
You could use vodka as it is a Neutral spirit. Or you could use a flavored one. It will depend on your tastes. But you could chose to only use Aperol and let its flavors shine through. I make the simple syrup. 8 oz/240 ml Water 8 oz/240 ml Sugar. heat until it goes clear. Allow to cool.
