what is apfc panel?
APFC stands for auto power factor correction panel . It is used to improve power factor to meet the current requirement , to reduce the billing and also to improve feeder voltage regulation.
In industry most of the load is inductive in nature which results in lagging power factor that is why there is loss and wastage of energy which results in high power bills and heavy penalties from electricity boards. If the load is uneven it is very difficult to maintain unity power factor. To overcome this difficulty APFC panel is used which maintains unity P.F

its a good explanation bro but you have done some lil bit mistake , if we are selecting in automatic mode of selector switch power will never reach in capacitor passing from the CDC's cuz the manual contractor and automatic conactor are shunted therefor to operate in automatic mode it wait the state of manual cont actor that means every ON push buttons must be pressed . . . making automatic mode how the automatic cont actor get energize , if u have time its humble if answer my Question immediately...

Sir, why is manual control needed while there is auto control. and certain apfc comes with inbuilt multifunctional parameters so why not install such kind and save significant amount of price on unnecessary components?
