Python 🐍 Solve Vapor Liquid Equilibrium

5 жыл бұрынVapor liquid equilibrium (VLE) calculations are important in applications that have liquid with vapor in thermodynamic equilibrium. This tutorial is an introduction to solving nonlinear equations with Python such as those that come from VLE predictions. In this case, Raoult's law is used to find the temperature and liquid composition, given a pressure and vapor mole fractions of benzene and toluene.

Thanks for sharing! Isn't there a way thruogh which we could visualize data in a graph in order to know the values we should use as first guess for the fsolve?

That is a great idea. You could plot the residual versus the value to see where the curve intersects zero. This is possible if there is only one variable. For problems with multiple variables, visualization is more challenging.

Try an equation solver such as fsolve.

It is a short way to assign variables such as: T=z[0] x1=z[1] x2=z[2]
