This movie is one of the best I have seen, and I don't got a life, watching movies 24/7 (forever alone) so seriously, go and watch it.. even if the trailer isnt that great :) u'll not regret it. Peace :)

This movie is so incredible. I am a descendant of these people... and let me just say that Mel Gibson is a genious to capture how they really lived. Go El Mundo Maya!!! Mexico, Belize, Guatemala!!!

I notice on review's they say its violent but man after reading history its more violent then the movie lol. This movie rocks :)

This is a hard movie to judge. It is visually stunning, let's put it that way. I respect Mel Gibson for not romanticising any of the brutal details of history. He sticks to the facts, no matter how shocking they are.

mel gibson exagerated the movie. the mayans didn't take people from their village and rip their heart out by force, they wanted to be up there and get their heart ripped out. they were a bit brutal but they were really smart people...genius in all dem astronomy stuff ;)

Mel Gibson should direct a movie about the Lewis and Clark Expedition and make it as Epic as Braveheart or Apocalypto! Something like a Historical drama, Action-Adventure thriller, War thriller, and Romance movie all rolled into one.

This is my definition of a GREAT movie....Its nothing but the story line that makes a movie excellent, rather then the millions of dollars worth of computer generated bullshit at the expense of having a shit story line, which basically is 90% of all movies being released these days.. i would reccomend this movie to any one

agree.Highly recommended.And by the way ppl you wont see to many movies about maya indians at hollywood.there are are movies with indians but at bollywood lol.Better see it while you can :)

some volunteered but Mayans/Aztecs warriors were trained and taught to wound and capture prisoners rather then kill them in battle,this is how warriors increased in rank and when a warrior took enough prisonesr they could become a eagle or Jaguar warrior

Yes, when i saw the trailer, it didn't excite me too, but it's the 1st movie in which you can really see the brutality of the Mayas, and all south american and mexican natives.
